The "Kindness Game" Activity. Autism uppleva annorlunda. The Nostradamus Prophecies (National Geographic) –[Multimedia-English videos] Nostradamus, 2015 full documentary - Did Nostradamus predict the 9/11 attacks, the rise of Hitler, and the Challenger disaster some 500 years ago?
Michel de Nostredame (depending on the source, 14 or 21 December 1503 – 2 July 1566), usually Latinised as Nostradamus, was a French apothecary and reputed seer who published collections of prophecies that have since become famous worldwide. He is best known for his book Les Propheties, the first edition of which appeared in 1555.
Since the publication of this book, which has rarely been out of print since his death, Nostradamus has attracted a following that, along with much of the popular press, credits him with predicting many major world events. Most academic sources maintain that the associations made between world events and Nostradamus's quatrains are largely the result of misinterpretations or mistranslations (sometimes deliberate) or else are so tenuous as to render them useless as evidence of any genuine predictive power. It’s one of those techniques that has been with us so long, it is no longer seen as new. When considering methods to share in my collection of instructional strategies, I ignored it for a long time because I assumed most people already knew how to use it. Still, I figured it was worth including at some point. When I finally sat down to review the steps of Jigsaw, I came across a few surprises. Although Jigsaw is typically presented as just one in a number of cooperative learning strategies, its origin story has little to do with academics. Rather than take a crisis management approach to the situation, which they believed would only put a band-aid on the problem, Aronson and his colleagues wanted a solution that was more organic, something built into the structure of students’ everyday learning.
For a more thorough understanding of the strategy and its history, read the Jigsaw Classroom’s Jigsaw Basics white paper. 16 Free Coloring Books. Fun With Chinese Learning. Share: Website: edu.ocac.gov.tw/lang/chineselearnDescription: A great site for learning Mandarin with fun games.

UR:s nya Play. What is content curation? Why does it matter to teachers? The term "curate" has become a buzzword in education.
I've seen it referenced in TEDx Talks and tossed around in Twitter chats. A few years ago, the term "curation" would have conjured up images of art galleries but now I associate it with conversations about the future of education. And yet . . . I'm really drawn toward an archaic definition of the term. It originally had a much more earthy, even gritty, connotations. Over time, this word morphed into an intense care and love for a particular subject, knowledge, or set of artistic works. Solfilmen (färg) Klarar du gåtan som en sexåring löser på sekunder? It's a critical tool in that it lets me see the students puzzle out answers to their questions (especially with a heavy reliance of the "see revisions" function). I've viewed classroom technology as the means to sharing knowledge, in addition to acquiring or manipulating it. Yet I find that not only has the computer itself become something of a distraction, but the students aren't making enough use of the tech’s "share-ability" -- that is, they struggle to work effectively together on it, and to have their ideas cohere in an intelligible way.
It occurred to me that co-editing in a Google Doc is a skill that itself needs to be taught and practiced before it can become effective in the classroom. I also started thinking that perhaps one fault of technology is that it brings the world to the student, rather than spurring the student to get up out the chair and go find it. Energy and Calm: Brain Breaks and Focused-Attention Practices. When presented with new material, standards, and complicated topics, we need to be focused and calm as we approach our assignments.
We can use brain breaks and focused-attention practices to positively impact our emotional states and learning. They refocus our neural circuitry with either stimulating or quieting practices that generate increased activity in the prefrontal cortex, where problem solving and emotional regulation occur. Brain Breaks A brain break is a short period of time when we change up the dull routine of incoming information that arrives via predictable, tedious, well-worn roadways. Since the dawning of the Rock era there have been countless guitar-slingers that have inspired generations of wannabe guitarists. While there have been numerous apostles there are a select band who have been elevated to the status of Guitar God – Who are they and what makes them so special? The guitar is truly magical, it’s like no other instrument, both for the way we connect with and talk about our guitar heroes – often above all other virtuoso instrumentalists. These gods can make it sing, make it cry and with the electric guitar in particular, are able to create signature sounds by using their own unique combination of instruments, amplifiers and signal processors…but above all else they have a talent that make them so special.
