Josh Hadar's electric three-wheeled masterpiece Image Gallery (4 images) Cutting edge New York artist Josh Hadar has created a three-wheel electric bike that is sure to turn heads.

Josh Hadar's electric three-wheeled masterpiece

Based around a sprawling, chopper-like frame similar to that used in his earlier pedal powered designs such as "Uncle Stew's Trike", Hadar's new creation has a range of up to 30 miles and puts out 15 kilowatts at its peak, which, when combined with the weight of four 12-volt lead-acid batteries and two chunky wheels at the rear, is reportedly more than enough to put you on your derriere. The jet black, carbon steel framed trike measures 8.4 feet (2.6m) long with a 20 inch front wheel and two 26 inch wheels at the back. To keep the electric engine under control (and the front wheel on the ground) Hadar has added a an Alltrax programmable controller and in keeping with the designer's green philosophy, the three-wheeler gets its juice from solar panels on the roof of Hadar's workshop.

Uno motorcycle reconfigures itself on the fly

It was envisioned as the type of personal transportation that people might be using 20 years from now. Well, if 21 year-old inventor Ben Gulak has his way, consumers will be able to buy a similar vehicle a lot sooner. His battery electric Uno may look like a regular motorbike at higher speeds, but when it slows down, the wheels realign themselves into a side-by-side configuration – seen in profile, it looks like a unicycle. Born to be wired: DashLink iPhone/iPod Touch dock for Harley riders

The world of Harley riders just might, and the DashLink from Hell’s Foundry is here to meet that need. The DashLink replaces the stock fuel tank console on your Harley-Davidson with an integrated dock that securely holds your iPhone or iPod Touch, while keeping it charged and ready for use. The DashLink lets you see and use the iPhone screen, so you can listen to music while you ride, run a GPS application, and so on. With the DashLink installed, all of the wiring is hidden for a clean appearance. Hell’s Foundry designed the DashLink with a smart charging system that detects whether your iPhone is installed. The DashLink is available in chrome, gloss black, and carbon fiber to fit 1996 and newer Harley-Davidson FLHT/FLTR and FLHR models. Types. Motorcycle Trailer Features - Texelent XTC Touring Trailer. Fusion Motorcycles – The Machine

From certain angles, it has a profile similar to a Confederate Hellcat, probably due to the long curved tank, the seat location and the tiny headlights but it goes beyond that with an aluminum girder front end and a single sided swingarm. One feature you miss until you look closely is the bolt together frame, no welds, just bolts. It reminds me of the Revolution RV100 which takes that concept a lot further, making it a primary design feature, here the frame does its job very unobtrusively until you notice the bolts and say, "hey, wait a minute.

" Neat. The engine is an 80 inch Harley Davidson with a five speed FXR transmission. The design is not out there so far it becomes a showpiece, instead this looks like it was designed to be ridden. Buell Conversion Kit From Fusion Motorcycles

Well, Will Thibeault has been hard at work on something a lot of you may find interesting, he's designed a conversion kit that will transform your donor Buell into a custom with killer looks. Will's kit uses a billet T6 aluminum bolt together frame with a built in oil tank, a 60 inch wheelbase and 33 degrees of rake. The Buell Thunderstorm motor, Buell forks, Buell six piston caliper and Buell rear caliper, all come from the donor bike. The bike shown in these photos is for a customer with a lot of custom touches, a hard carbon fiber seat (customer request, Will prefers padded), Piaa head lights..same as he used on The Machine, Will's own stainless pipes and Fusion Motorcycles billet 18" wheels, 240 on the rear and 130 up front.

Rear turn signals are LED. According to Will: The future bikes will have front and rear carbon fenders, and will be totally road legal. S&S® X117 X-WEDGE™ ENGINES from Biker's Choice. Bad Dog 215 Cubic Inch V-Twin. Are you one of those guys who feels there's just no substitute for cubic inches?

Kickboxer - Subaru WRX powered concept motorcycle Suppose you had an engine from a Subaru WRX and suppose further, you wanted to build a motorcycle, what would it look like? Ian McElroy was thinking about just that and started putting his ideas into Solidworks to see what he could do. One minor problem, though, Ian didn't know how to use Solidworks, so he set about the task of learning the software as he went, taking his ideas and putting them into the computer.

What you see here is the result and he thought we might like to take a look. Honda CBX V12 by Andreas Georgeades. Andreas Georgeades and his Honda CBX V12 Building a V12 from a pair of Honda CBX engines would be quite an accomplishment if it was the only motorcycle project a builder ever did, unlikely of course, but by itself it would stand alone quite well.

Honda CBX V12 by Andreas Georgeades

Andreas Georgeades' most recent project is exactly that, the bike shown here, but "most recent" are the key words. He's been doing things with motorcycles his entire life, starting out as a racer but quickly becoming a builder with some very unusual and creative skills. Andreas Georgeades V12 CBX Andreas, a former motorcycle racer from South Africa who raced his Matchless 500 at the Isle of Man in 1964 and 500cc GP racing in Europe, he also raced in Canada and the US.

His building technique is truly "old school," no CAD or computer work of any kind, just some sketches, and even those, sometimes not until after the work is complete to explain what he did. Naked FLS Exposed Though it may be blasphemy to some, we are delving into the world of the bagless. While we won't ever be running off to Sturgis without our bags, we really like having the option of cruising around town without bags and looking good while doing it. Sure you can just yank off your bags and hit the road, but it's going to look like you simply forgot them at home. Currently there are a few companies out there brave enough to step up to the demands of a few, and the two we contacted on this subject are Quick Skirts and Bruisers Inc. One is a complete kit that spruces up the stock shocks and hardware. The other is a complete sidecover that conceals the unsightly mess that lies beneath the OE bags.
