Josh Hadar's electric three-wheeled masterpiece

Cutting edge New York artist Josh Hadar has created a three-wheel electric bike that is sure to turn heads. Based around a sprawling, chopper-like frame similar to that used in his earlier pedal powered designs such as " Uncle Stew's Trike ", Hadar's new creation has a range of up to 30 miles and puts out 15 kilowatts at its peak, which, when combined with the weight of four 12-volt lead-acid batteries and two chunky wheels at the rear, is reportedly more than enough to put you on your derriere. The jet black, carbon steel framed trike measures 8.4 feet (2.6m) long with a 20 inch front wheel and two 26 inch wheels at the back. http://www.gizmag.com/josh-hadar-solar-electric-three-wheel-trike/16665/
Bombardier's concept for a one-wheeled self-balancing motorcycle-like vehicle called the EMBRIO has been a long time Gizmag favorite. It was envisioned as the type of personal transportation that people might be using 20 years from now. Well, if 21 year-old inventor Ben Gulak has his way, consumers will be able to buy a similar vehicle a lot sooner. His battery electric Uno may look like a regular motorbike at higher speeds, but when it slows down, the wheels realign themselves into a side-by-side configuration – seen in profile, it looks like a unicycle. Gulak, a Canadian who is currently studying Mechanical Engineering at Harvard, is also the brains behind the stand-up tracked off-road vehicle, the DTV Shredder .

Eaglemate Trailers - Home

For the love of riding, touring, golf and other sports, Eaglemate Motorcycle Trailers Ltd. has patented an idea that will let the rider combine other sports and endeavours with their motorcycle. The main ingredient is the patented quick-change hitch, which is simple and aesthetic in design and will let you add a trailer to your motorcycle in seconds. The hitch will fit right behind the back seat or sissy bar to your motorcycle, so you can add a trailer or attachments standing upright with ease and without getting on your knees. http://www.eaglematetrailers.com/index.htm

Fusion Motorcycles – The Machine

Will Thibeault, of Fusion Motorcycles created a Harley big twin powered custom with some unique features you miss at first glance. From certain angles, it has a profile similar to a Confederate Hellcat, probably due to the long curved tank, the seat location and the tiny headlights but it goes beyond that with an aluminum girder front end and a single sided swingarm. One feature you miss until you look closely is the bolt together frame, no welds, just bolts .

Well, Will Thibeault has been hard at work on something a lot of you may find interesting, he's designed a conversion kit that will transform your donor Buell into a custom with killer looks. Will's kit uses a billet T6 aluminum bolt together frame with a built in oil tank, a 60 inch wheelbase and 33 degrees of rake. The Buell Thunderstorm motor, Buell forks, Buell six piston caliper and Buell rear caliper, all come from the donor bike.

Bad Dog 215 Cubic Inch V-Twin

http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2008/10/28/bad-dog-215-cubic-inch-v-twin/ Are you one of those guys who feels there's just no substitute for cubic inches? Well, Bill Price thought you might like to know he's designing an engine for you, it's called the Bad Dog 215, as in 215 cubic inches. The sixty-degree air-and-oil-cooled 4-valve DOHC semi-unit 3500cc engine has a 6 inch bore and 4 inch stroke, connecting rods run side by side on a single throw crank. Main and rod bearings are from a 426 Hemi. The engine will be unit construction incorporating a 6 speed transmission.

Kickboxer – Subaru WRX Powered Motorcycle Concept

Kickboxer - Subaru WRX powered concept motorcycle Suppose you had an engine from a Subaru WRX and suppose further, you wanted to build a motorcycle, what would it look like? Ian McElroy was thinking about just that and started putting his ideas into Solidworks to see what he could do. One minor problem, though, Ian didn't know how to use Solidworks, so he set about the task of learning the software as he went, taking his ideas and putting them into the computer. What you see here is the result and he thought we might like to take a look. It's radical, to be sure, but no more so than, say, building a motorcycle around a radial engine or any of the other motorcycle and engine combinations we've seen here.

Honda CBX V12 by Andreas Georgeades

Andreas Georgeades and his Honda CBX V12 Building a V12 from a pair of Honda CBX engines would be quite an accomplishment if it was the only motorcycle project a builder ever did, unlikely of course, but by itself it would stand alone quite well. Andreas Georgeades' most recent project is exactly that, the bike shown here, but "most recent" are the key words.
It's fairly common to see Honda Gold Wings or Harley touring rigs cruising down the highway with a trailer in tow, but the idea is hardly new. Once again, the dusty shelves of The Kneeslider research library yield this plan from a 1930s Popular Science magazine article for a motorcycle camper trailer by an unnamed German inventor. It isn't just a carry all for saddle bag overflow, either, this has a double bed, closets, pantry, cook stove and roof rack for a canoe. Considering the motorcycle engines of the time, it might have taken a while to get up to speed with a rider, passenger and fully loaded trailer, not to mention the added air resistance, even though it has a "streamlined housing" over the front wheel, but then, speed limits were lower, too. "Cyclists now may have the same comforts as autoists." I have no idea if this ever went beyond the concept stage but I love the old style engineering and design.
