HEY TODAY! started off as a duo but split more than a year ago leaving the project to be headed solely by Raik Krause, with the other half starting another project under the moniker of Nickel. These days he is undoubtedly synonymous of great musical taste and superior production skills that are consistently displayed in his originals - normally released on big labels such as Kitsuné, Lektroluv and Tiga's Turbo Records - or his remixes, the latest of which for Black Strobe's 'Italian Fireflies' is a fantastic example.

Slugabed knows bass music. He knows it so well that he made the ballsy move of entitling his latest single "Sex". And to be honest, he's kind of pulling it off. The "Sex" single features the title track, two remixes from Daedelus and Groundislava adding their appealing signature sounds, and a B-side, "Molecules". While all of the tracks here are worthwhile, I thought I'd go with posting the B-side -- it's easy to ignore a track called "Molecules" when it's surrounded by all that distracting "Sex" appeal (I'm sure my choice of image for...

I cannot post the track on the blog just yet, but hope to be able to when the album is released. Beside Kúra i played one of my favorite tracks at the moment, Little Dragon “ Ritual Union ” a Maya Jane Cole Remix, which has been posted before and you can find here . Tonight I’m going to a sold-out Timber Timbre concert and am looking forward to it. The concert is taking place at “ Huset Magestæde ” Copenhagen which is a relatively small venue, so maybe it will be a form of intimate concert.
