Shaun Kardinal

Simply embroidering postcards alone, I was able to achieve a wide array of compositions –but ultimately I wanted to work bigger and try more elaborate patterns and shapes with the thread. First, I needed larger imagery, which, most notably in this series, I found in the beautiful pages of 1950s LIFE magazines. A long-time fascination with radial compositions and mandalas led to these radiating layers of geometric collage. Connotation no. 2. Hand-embroidered paper collage, 11 x 11 inches. http://shaunkardinal.com/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/michaelbenjamin/sets/72157602652072917/ Cooper the Photographer Cat has been taking pictures for over 3 years now. Once a week he wears this light weight digital camera which automatically snaps a new photo every 2 minutes. Technical notes: I promise that none of Cooper's photos have been color corrected or altered in any way. Also, there is no way to change the time and date on his camera, so unfortunately all of his pictures suggest they are from July 2006.
