DIY - MAKE YOUR OWN WAX FOR HAIR REMOVAL | Fashion I was chatting with someone on my flight back from my vacation. She lived in another country where salons are hard to come by or if they are around, they aren't very good. So, sometimes a girl has got to depend on herself. You can make one on your own so easily. Tape trick for perfect winged eyeliner | Erin Ashley

Tape trick for perfect winged eyeliner | Erin Ashley Happy Monday to ya….hope y’all had a fabulous weekend!!! A few posts ago, I made reference to something I call “the tape method” and I said that I would do a follow up showing how to do it. Well…it is super easy and I probably just could have easily explained it using my words–but who doesn’t like pictures to go with? This is simply going to show you another way to apply winged liner if you have a difficult time getting a “perfect” wing or if you don’t have steady hands. A few considerations: If you have sensitive skin, don’t put tape on it! You can also do this by holding a business card or something with a hard edge up diagonally against your eye….I would have shown this instead of tape but it is a wee bit difficult to hold a business card up to your eye and photograph it at the same time :::only have so many hands:::.

The Comedy Innovations of Michael Nesmith | Splitsider#more To me, as a kid watching The Monkees, it was all about Michael Nesmith. Sure, the others all had their appeal: Davy Jones was the pretty boy teen idol, Micky Dolenz was the funny one, and even Peter Tork had his own dimwitted charm. But none could compare to Nez. With his string bean physique, slight Texas drawl and his twelve string Gretsch, he was the unspoken leader of the band, oscillating between acting as straight man and ringleader to group's cartoon antics. His sense of humor was a little bit smarter, a little dryer, a little more adult. The Comedy Innovations of Michael Nesmith | Splitsider#more

Wipe Off Weekly Menu Board

I am a meal planner. I refuse to go grocery shopping without my week’s worth of meals planned out and list made. (It’s either that or wander aimlessly around the grocery store for two hours and then make ten more trips back during the week to get things I forgot.) Once I get the groceries unloaded, I usually forget what I planned for, so I put together this super easy wipe-off menu board to keep track of what’s for dinner each night! I love the look of family photos printed on canvas, but I never knew I could make them at home! After transferring photos to fabric, I was super excited to try some pieces using stretched canvas. I hope this inspires some of you to make something special for your home... Here's how I transferred my photo to canvas: 1.

Make Your Own Canvas Portrait!

I loved this idea because not only can you recycle these horrid polystyrene containers, but the process is really simple. You could even use tracing paper and trace your design so you don't even need to be able to draw. You could make a whole series of cards like this or just a colorful print to hang on your wall and cheer up the place. Materials needed: Foam or polystyrene container pencil paint or ink small roller 1.
