Germany-based design student Carolin Wanitzek has created a wonderfully whimsical set called The Border that visualizes those few seconds we all experience right when we wake up from a dream.

Using colored cardboard, she cut out everything from mountains and trees to skyscrapers and planes, and then photographed her dreamworld scenes in her home studio. A viral marketing campaign for the show started a few weeks ago where they're releasing limited edition screenprints from 16 of today's top artists and graphic designers leading up to the premiere of the final season this summer. They'll depict some of the series' most memorable scenes, characters and shocking moments.

Los Angeles-based street artist Miles MacGregor, better known as El Mac, has recently collaborated with rock band No Doubt to put together one awesome album artwork for the band's next full-length album, their first group effort in over ten years.

El Mac held a photo shoot with the band members and created four acrylic wood panel portraits of them based on the in-studio shots he captured. Taking him six weeks to complete, the artist used his signature maze-like brushwork on each board. World Record Mural Made from One Million Coffee Beans. Yesterday, Russian artist and sculptor Arkady Kim revealed the world's largest coffee bean mosaic, entitled Awakening, in Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure in Moscow. In order to surpass the previous world record held by Albanian artist Saimir Strati, Kim's mural had to meet requirements related not to the span of the artwork, but rather to the weight of the beans. The final piece, measuring about 30 square meters and weighing a whopping 397 pounds, quite significantly surpassed the previous record of 88 pounds.

This photo series was shot for an editorial spread titled La Mode en Grand Écran, translated as Fashion on the Big Screen, in French magazine Sport & Style. When I saw these ads I thought they were advertising bedtime stories, I was very surprised to learn that this advertising campaign was in fact for a shoe brand named Melissa.
