Who owns your social graph — you or Facebook? Facebook’s control over the information in your social graph is in the news again. The company recently blocked a Google Chrome extension that scraped your contact info so that you could export it somewhere else, such as into Google’s new Google+ social network. The move has reignited debate over who exactly owns the information about your social graph — is it yours, or is it Facebook’s? Should you have the right to copy or move those email addresses wherever you want to, or is Facebook right to prevent you from doing so?

YourOfficeAnywhere Offers Cheap Web Conferencing There are dozens, if not more, vendors offering Web conferencing services. They mostly fall into two price tiers: $50 or more per month, with various fees, and next to nothing that offer few features. The higher-priced spread is great on features but requires some setup, the low end can be quick to use but not very robust. That middle ground is where YourOfficeAnywhere.com is trying to claim, and while I haven't used it for very long, it has some promise. For $10 per user per month, you get a combination of three separate services:

Protection of personal data - Justice Whenever you open a bank account, join a social networking website or book a flight online, you hand over vital personal information such as your name, address, and credit card number. What happens to this data? Could it fall into the wrong hands? What rights do you have regarding your personal information? Under EU law, personal data can only be gathered legally under strict conditions, for a legitimate purpose. The Evolution of Privacy on Facebook About Facebook is a great service. I have a profile, and so does nearly everyone I know under the age of 60. However, Facebook hasn't always managed its users' data well. In the beginning, it restricted the visibility of a user's personal information to just their friends and their "network" (college or school).

Attention Profiling Mark-up Language APML (Attention Profiling Mark-up Language) is an XML-based format for expressing a person's interests and dislikes. Overview[edit] APML allows people to share their own personal attention profile in much the same way that OPML allows the exchange of reading lists between news readers. Empowered by Josh Bernoff Forrester’s Social Technographics surveys show that when it comes to social content 21% of online US consumers are Creators, 37% are Critics (those who react to content created by others), and 69% are Spectators. The 90-9-1 principle, recently publicized by Community Guy Jake McKee at 90-9-1.com, says that in a community, the rule of thumb is that 90% of visitors only view the content, 9% only comment or react to it, and 1% create it. This confuses people, and I often get questions about who’s right.

Data protection authorities in Germany The Federal Republic of Germany is a federation of 16 states which are not just provinces but states with their own original sovereign rights and legislative responsibilities. The supreme power of the State is divided between the federal and the state governments. The federal system of government also affects the supervision of data protection. Your data is your interface By Jarno Mikael Koponen On April 17, 2013 We all view the world differently and on our own terms. Each of us use different words to describe the same book, movie, favorite food, person, work of art, or news article. We express our uniqueness by reviewing, tagging, commenting, liking, and rating things online. Audio Interface for iPhone 4 The iPhone 4 is fabulous and takes great HD quality video. However if there’s one area that lets it down, it’s the sound. The small internal microphone only records in mono with no control and as for the quality....

Data Protection The purpose of The 1998 Personal Data Act is to protect people against the violation of their personal integrity by processing of personal data. The Act is based on and implements an EC Directive (95/46/EC) on data protection. The Act is applicable to automatic processing of personal data in both the public and private sector. Manual processing of personal data in traditional paper-based files is also covered in certain cases. The general Personal Data Act is supplemented by a Personal Data Ordinance and numerous more specific acts and regulations for certain areas or registers instituted by authorities. The Personal Data Act Inquiry has made a review of the 1998 Personal Data Act in order to see if and to what extent it is possible to, within the boundaries of the EC Directive, achieve a more misuse-oriented approach (SOU 2004:6).

Interest graph Suppose two people have similar interests, such as photo and they like the same music. So there is a relationship between them based on their interests which can be shown by interest graph. Vertices correspond to entities, and edges are the relationships between entities. Red edges are the part of an interest graph, where relations (red edges) could be between (1) user and interest and (2) between users. Blue edges are the part of a social graph, where there are relations only between users.
