It’s a very exotic and interesting part of the world. The idea of the journey was not just to focus on the sea, but life around it. Of the 16 countries you visited, perhaps the most dangerous was Mogadishu where you had to dodge bullets. One of the issues in the region is the piracy epidemic affecting the waters around Somalia so we wanted to go to the epicentre of that plague which is Mogadishu.
