T he title of this post sounds like a term of endearment someone may bestow on a cute little child, but no, the photo is a shot of my Little Peach Cakes made this morning for when my niece and nephew come over to play. My own children were amazed at how real these little cakes appeared.

I am a big fan of Design Sponge ‘s “In The Kitchen With” column. Every Friday, they feature talented cooks, bakers, photographers and food stylists from all around the world and publish a recipe for the rest of us to drool over. So when Kristina asked me if I’d like to contribute a recipe and photos for the column, I was simply floored.
I have been experimenting with different mug cakes every since I heard about them about a year ago. None of them have been winners.

Risk® birthday cake | Chica and Jo
When Jo celebrated her husband’s birthday by making him a Giant Risk® game , I contributed to the party by making a birthday cake to match. I started with a regular sheet cake that I iced smooth with decorator’s icing (see recipe below).
Of course, it didn’t hurt that I used ready to roll refrigerated pie crust.

Twix Cheesecakes
In my humble opinion, desserts and candy belong together. Butterfingers make cupcakes a little more intriguing , blondies filled with peanut butter cups are even more irresistible , gummy worms taste better when they’re coming out of a cupcake and Twix in cheesecake….well that just makes me drool.
