A few years ago i attended an uh-mazing banksy exhibition in downtown los angeles and have been eagerly awaiting the elusive graffiti artist's return. alas, mr. bansky choose instead to set up his latest wares in new york and bristol. on june 13th, banksy's largest exhibition entitled "banksy versus bristol museum" was unveiled at the bristol city museum. it features more than 100 of banksy's works mixed amongst the museum's permanent collection (including a mouse with a backpack tucked inside of a natural history case. someone, please send me a picture!

After mentioning the "bansky versus bristol museum" exhibition last month, i got a message from my darling friend, mr. matt, who happened to be whoranging over in england at the time. eager to see a little bansky in the flesh, he hopped on over to bristol, with camera phone in hand, and stood in the ginormous queue. luckily for us, mr. matt snapped a few fabulous shots exclusively for WHORANGE. he even captured the coveted "mouse with backpack" that i wanted to see so desperately. it's tucked away inside of the natural history exhibit... along the way, he spotted a bong in the china cabinet...

Julian Beever, Kurt Wenner and Tracy Lee Stum are artist who have been creating trompe-l’œil chalk drawings on pavement surfaces since the early-1990s.
Trompe-l’œil is the art technique involving extremely realistic imagery in order to create the optical illusion that the depicted objects appear in three dimensions. They use a projection technique called anamorphosis to create the illusion of three dimensions when viewed from the correct angle. It is often possible to position a person within the image as if they were interacting with the scene.

Man Decorates His Entire Basement Using a Sharpie and a Marker. 53-year-old Says Kratzer managed to turn his boring cream-painted basement into an inhabitable masterpiece, by using his trusty sharpie and a magic marker. Mister Kratzer has always been fascinated by Impressionist art, and by the time he reached 30, he knew he wanted his house to be decorated with it.
