If you notice an uptick in #OWS hashtags on Tuesday, you’ll know that the Occupy movement has risen from its relatively dormant winter and early spring for May Day protests. Once again, social media will play a huge part in how protesters organize, although this time Occupiers might be a little more wary of tweeting out personal details. That’s because last week a criminal court judge denied Malcolm Harris’ motion to quash a subpoena that will allow Twitter to hand over his information to Manhattan prosecutors. Harris, a contributing editor to The New Inquiry , was one of the more than 700 people arrested on the Brooklyn Bridge during an Occupy protest on October 1.
