About This Site When I started this site up, in April 1997, I wrote some stuff about why I was doing it. You can still read the original page at the Wayback Machine. Things have changed since then; these days I don't need to print my recipes out, since I have a laptop and a kitchen table. But the final paragraph is still relevant: “Finally… all the recipes on my site are vegan. There are other sites with only-vegan recipes on them, but some of them contain recipes that are too junk-foody, or too elaborate, or too other-stuff-that-I-don't-want-to-eat.
