A View Of The US-Mexican Border - All That Is Interesting

A small fence separates densely populated Tijuana, Mexico, right, from the United States in the Border Patrol’s San Diego Sector on the left. Construction is underway to extend a secondary fence over the top of this hill and eventually to the Pacific Ocean. http://all-that-is-interesting.com/post/4921001615/a-view-of-the-us-mexican-border
As we discussed in yesterday’s post , whether the United States and China like it or not, the economic futures of both countries are intertwined. Everyone knows that China’s got more people and that its importance as an economic superpower has escalated in recent years. What you might not understand is how the differences between our countries, in economic philosophy, in population, in geography and in how the military is built and paid for ultimately play into the entire economic relationship. Addicting Info does it again. Last time they came up with If you hate taxes, here are 102 things NOT to do . Even though they graciously gave us permission to cross-post, I’d rather tease you and then send you to their place to give them some well-deserved traffic.

Daily Kos: Go Screw Yourself

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/02/25/949753/-Go-Screw-Yourself My girlfriend has been teaching in the Middletown Ohio school district nearly two decades. Thanks to the new Republican Governor, she has been told today that her school is closing and that she's out of a job next year. Maybe she'll keep her job yet, but even this threat is enough. The Freedom of Information Act is a powerful thing. If you've ever wanted to know just what those guvmint bastards have on you, anyway, here's your chance. Just fill in the italics in this form letter with the appropriate information, get your signature notarized , send it off, and you're in business! This should be free, though if your search returns reams of information, you may be charged 5 cents per page in duplication fees. The law says that your request must be responded to within 10 days, but you can expect something closer to 2 or 3 months for a definitive answer with the current backlog of paperwork.

During this election campaign the American public has been inundated with lies from the Republican Party. Some of these lies have been told and repeated for so long that they have assumed the proportions of myth, and are accepted by a great many Americans. But they are still just Republican lies. I have been trying to attack these lies one and a times, and have written several posts about them. But Dave Johnson over at Campaign for America's Future has combined them into one very good post.
