The King James Version Bible (KJV) was authorized by King James I and is sometimes referred to as the “Authorized Version”. It was translated by the Church of England and was first published in 1611. The KJV New Testament was translated from the Textus Receptus. However, the majority of the book of Revelation seems to have been translated from the Latin Vulgate. The KJV Old Testament was translated from the Masoretic Hebrew text, and the Apocrypha was translated from the Greek Septuagint. Several versions of the King James Bible (KJV) were produced in 1611,1629, 1638, 1762, and 1769.
The New American Standard Bible (NASB or NAS), completed in 1971, is widely regarded as one of the most literally translated of 20th-century English Bible translations. According to the NASB's preface, the translators had a "Fourfold Aim" in this work: These publications shall be true to the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. They shall be grammatically correct.

THE GENEVA BIBLE was the first complete Bible to be translated into English from the original Hebrew and Greek texts. In part due to the extensive marginal notes, it was the most widely read and influential English Bible of the 16th and 17th centuries, and the Bible of choice for many of the greatest writers, thinkers, and historical figures of the Reformation era. During King James's reign, and into the reign of Charles I, the Geneva Bible was gradually replaced by the King James Bible, Authorized Version of 1611. More From ChristiansUnite...
