Dear Moodler - this site in Pearltrees is more about Resources for Moodle than its other facilities. At some stage I will be collecting Activities based on Resources to pursue Learning for Understanding; but all of the orthodox design for the LMS and Using Moodle is already published through moodle.org headquarters (top left Pearl).
An interesting curatorial project for the team would be Third Party Plug Ins. Another is Themes. Apr 28

Matrices, vectors, vector spaces, transformations. Covers all topics in a first year college linear algebra course. This is an advanced course normally taken by science or engineering majors after taking at least two semesters of calculus (although calculus really isn't a prereq) so don't confuse this with regular high school algebra.Moodle News

Hello djbinary! My Moodle is not exactly a social site. I've let amsika and patrice know about how I am experimenting with Pearltrees in Moodle. Eventually, I want a big Moodle Pearltree that has a branch for every Course (more than 100) and each Pearl can be embeded in a Moodle "topic". Pearltrees transforms Moodle because it can deliver all the Resources up front as a browser-within-a-browser without leaving the Moodle page. I appreciate your interest and should construct a Moodle Research Pearltree where we can frolic - although Moodle.org is a forum of 1 million people doing that right now. Pearltrees is at the next level of abstraction - it has synergy with Moodle. by pauljacobson Jan 12
If you go to Glass, enter welikeyoutoo and then we can communicate over the Pearltree. Try it. by pauljacobson Dec 14
I think I can get an invitation to you but I'll need your email address. by dcoda Dec 13
Write on Glass is by invitation only. I sent them a "sob story" about my students being starved of interaction. Hope I get access. It's a beautiful technique for a student group doing collaborative work (without having to leave their Course. by pauljacobson Dec 13
just checked on url...try www.writeonglass.com it allows comments throughout the web by dcoda Dec 12
writeglass.com takes me to a GoDaddy domain site??? What I was thinking about was more like MoodleRooms (I've pearled it for you to access in For Sharing). by pauljacobson Dec 12
will do, thanks for the msg tip as well. I've got a server in mind, are you on glass? www.writeglass.com by dcoda Dec 11
I'm sure we are led by Patrice's intuition: move the cursor onto a pearl; go over to the window and click on comment; then add your thoughts. I get email notification of all your messages; and love to read them before I get to Pearltrees to discover your message. It is still confusing. I receive numbers of wierd messages saying "yep!" and "nup!"; hen finally realise there is a dialogue I am reading that is not directed at me: it just happens to be taking place in a pearl of mine that someone has picked for themselves. Like I'm overhearing them using my line.Anyway, happy Moodling. You know that there are free hosting services where you can have a Moodle 2 "sandbox" within minutes. My colleague Lydia has one. She is now a Pearler and I have set up a For Sharing pearl on my site where a small group of us can Team Up and experiment with issues of common interest. All you have to do is pick my pearl called For Sharing, and I will expand the Team to inculde you. I want students to do it. by pauljacobson Dec 11
Excellent, this weekend I'm adding sites to my education ptree and will take time to explore yours. And I have to find out how to initiate message threads here...so far, I can only reply ...I don't see a command anywhere for sending someone a message! Fun exploring with you... by dcoda Dec 11
I will constantly change my Moodle Pearltree - so check it out every now and then. We have adopted Moodle for its underlying LMS that satisfies the Administration. It also provides a good standard of Activities for learning and assessment (all integrated). The quizes can be fun designing - you can even use images or audio as content. Then the resources side of Moodle is entirely open to the digital universe - that's where my Moodle Pearltree is exploring at the moment: for simple, elegant resources such as ISSUU books and Cooliris walls of images. by pauljacobson Dec 11
