We are a group of artists, living around the Ashby-de-la-Zouch area in the UK, whose aims are to exhibit the work of members and make a positive contribution towards the cultural development of art in Leicestershire and the surrounding counties. As a professional Landscape Artist, working in both watercolour and oil, I divide my time between painting, teaching painting and writing books and articles; so this site represents all sides of my activities. I live and work in Darley Dale - between Matlock and Bakewell in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales – where we have a Studio/Gallery. I remember about two years ago when zombies suddenly became really popular. I’m not sure exactly if it was a movie or television show that started the craze. There was the Twilight series of course, but that is vampire-themed, and as you know, vampires are very different from zombies. Sydney and I were asked by a special friend if we would cater a wedding shower for his fiancé, Carrie.
