The Corporation Nation Master (2010) - Full Length. Joe Rogan: The American War Machine. Our Troops do NOT Protect Our Freedom and We Should Stop Thanking Them for Doing So. Our Troops do NOT Protect Our Freedom and We Should Stop Thanking Them for Doing So SUNDAY, 07 AUGUST 2011 16:11 JESSE RICHARD Let's make one thing crystal clear, no member of the US military contributes in any way whatsoever to protecting the freedoms of the American people.
As a matter of fact, they are more likely to turn their weapons on you than they are to defend your Constitutional rights. The only people on this planet Earth who can affect your freedom are members of Congress, local legislators and the members of enforcement institutions who will blindly follow the rulers who sign their paychecks. And, while your beloved troops are murdering people around the globe, yes, I said murdering, your Congress and local legislators are eliminating your freedoms, en masse, without any intervention by our so-called protectors in the armed forces. Time and time again we see that the people who make decisions to send troops to war are the very people who profit financially from such wars. Joe Bageant: Slacker kid nails it: money IS slavery. Joe: From the beginning of recorded history there have been slaves and other forms of cheap labor.
For many centuries, most people were just subsisting. Whether they were serfs, owned a small plot or otherwise got by, they were effectively slaves to their work in order to survive. When serfdom ended with the industrial revolution, people were able to switch to the cheap labor jobs in factories. Then with workers uniting in unions, things got a little better, but we were still slaves to our job because even those of us who had a middle management job, were still only a paycheck or two from losing everything. I used to tell my wife that even though I had a job which I had some control over and could decide what I was going to do on a given day, I was still a job slave because we could only survive for about three months without at least a job that paid about the same as the one I had.
And sadly even though we could control our government by changing our elected reps, we never do it. David Joe. Invisible Chains. Alan Watts - Money. Sacred Economics with Charles Eisenstein - A Short Film. Wealth Inequality in America. Our Money Is A Joke.
