Just a thought on what you said about humans not being smart enough. I've always had the oppinion that us mere humans are not mentally equipt to comprehend most of the true nature of 'reality'. And to me that's a good thing. My 'spirituality' is largely based in the fact that I CAN'T know The Ultimate Ground of Being. There is great power in that for me. (It's practiced that way by some in Japan, but traditionally it has no deity, I do consider it 'spiritual' though) Alan Watts wrote that 'religion' is the politics of spirituality, not nessesary. After I became a member of this team I was trying to add a pearl to my own personal pearl tree and it completely took it off of the larger "buddhism sites" page.
