The Must Read Enterprise 2.0 Articles – A Guide

http://www.thehindubusinessline.com/opinion/india-can-slash-logistics-raw-material-costs/article3566042.ece India is suffering from high inflation and low growth, both of which are making life miserable for those at the bottom of the pyramid. India needs to reduce its inflation, which remains at extremely stubborn levels despite the high interest rates. Equally, it needs to increase its manufacturing activity and be globally competitive. The country can further use the huge headroom it has to expand exports, notwithstanding the shrinking global markets today.

Yesterday, Philadelphia City Council voted 11-6 in support of providing its workers with earned paid sick days. While the mayor has yet to sign and has vetoed similar measures in the past his signature would make Philadelphia the largest city with paid sick day legislation (a distinction they will hopefully hold for only a short time, since New York City is also considering paid sick days legislation ). On Wednesday, the Portland, Oregon, City Council voted unanimously to guarantee earned paid sick time to Portland’s workers. The mayor is expected to sign the bill.

This is a guest post written by Reid Hoffman , Ali Rosenthal and James Slavet from Greylock Partners . Credit and debit cards are ubiquitous, but they’re mostly pretty dumb. That’s about to change. Over 170 million people in the U.S. have credit cards, and the average card holder has 3.5 of them. And those totals are not even counting debit cards, which are roughly 40% of the total market and growing.
