Steven has over 30 years of graphic design, illustration printing and computer based experience across a broad range of mediums including television, digital media, publishing, marketing, and education. Stevens passion for his work is evident in his ability to blend usability with refined artistic sensibilities, merging the analytical and visual mediums together to strengthen and clarify the message. He strongly agrees with Stephen Lehmkuhle chancellor, University of Minnesota, Rochester and psychologist, who said: there was a time when "being educated" meant mastering a certain amount of material, and that's not the case anymore "You really have to teach them to learn how to learn," he says. His work has received numerous awards and mentions over the years, including an Emmy Award representing UC Davis for his animation work on The Center for the Arts commercial in 2000 with producer/director Robert Knop, now known as the Mondavi Center. That’s 5 feet wide. In fact, once the crew added in a whole new level of beer subgenres--like West Coast IPA and vegetable beer--the print ended up so large that Pop Chart Lab had to find a new printing crew capable of handling the job.
