His significant contribution to fine art was rediscovering classical figurative painting techniques and reintroducing them to an American audience with a revolutionary twist - it came to be called "Low-Brow," but in his earliest major paintings in the late 1960s they were called "Psychedelic" and much worse. Derided and degraded for decades by the contemporary art establishment, he rose to the top with a commitment to using the visual vocabulary of the cartoon as a realistic painting, rendered with precision and unlimited imagination.

Much of his recent work has been done around the Boulder, Colorado area. Grab finds the process both spiritual and therapeutic. On his site gravityglue.com, Grab explains: “The most fundamental element of balancing in a physical sense is finding some kind of ‘tripod’ for the rock to stand on. The routine search of a Kentucky arrestee turned prickly Monday when a jail employee detected something hidden in an unexpected place. Jessica Webster, 29, was initially arrested for burglarizing a Louisville home but is now facing further charges after corrections officers discovered she was hiding hypodermic needles inside her vagina , reports The Smoking Gun. Though her smuggling technique may seem surprising, it's not an unheard-of strategy for a female criminal.
A report filed by a Louisville Metro Department of Corrections officer notes that, before her pat-down, Webster was asked if she had any contraband and said no. After the needles were discovered, Webster said she needed them because she was a heroin addict. "The needles appeared empty but may have drug residue ," the report adds. Webster's strategy is not as novel as it sounds. Webster has a long way to go, however, before she reaches the amazing precedent set in October by Philadelphia, Pa., woman Ashley Bellamy. When Indiana GOP Senate candidate Richard Mourdock declared he opposes aborting pregnancies conceived in rape because "it is something that God intended to happen," he came under a lot of fire.
While he's apologized if he offended people for the controversial comment, he has stuck to his guns. "You can't put the toothpaste back in the tube, you can't unring the bell," Mourdock said. Now, Hustler publisher Larry Flynt is offering $1 million to Mourdock if the Tea Party favorite can prove his statement that “even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen.” Flynt also suggests that divine intervention must have happened for Mourdock to make the statements in the first place.
"I assume that you would not have made this statement unless you had been authorized by God. White, who is also a musician, says she likes seeing the Stones in their early 20s on the cusp of fame.
