Your Home: Day #31 - LINK PARTY!!!
Have you enjoyed these last 31 days as much as I have?Hi All! I am Laura , a teacher and a mom of three. I wanted to offer some fun ideas of how to get your kids a little more excited about cleaning and picking up. I have to start by admitting that I am not the best housekeeper in the world. Cleaning isn't always my forte, but playing with kids and having fun, that I can do! Here are a few things that we do at our house to make clean up time less of a shouting match and more of a play time.

How to Manage People in 15 Minutes a Day - Daisy Wademan Dowling - Harvard Business Review
Virtually all of the young executives I work with want to be good managers and mentors. They just don't have the time — or so they believe. "I could either make a sale, or I could take one of my guys out for lunch to talk about his career," a financial services leader told me recently. "In this economy, which one do you think I'm going to pick?"Les 6 lois du temps pour être plus efficace
Tiny-Ass Apartment
Crime and punishment meant something quite different as a kid. Common infractions were things like Refusal to Eat Green Beans, "Not Touching" Your Younger Brother, and Giving Yourself a Haircut. Your parents were judge, jury, and jailer, and your bedroom became your jail cell. The sentence: Until After Dinner. And if you live in a tiny-ass apartment, it's an experience that doesn't stop when you reach adulthood. If you live in a dorm room or teeny-tiny studio, it can sometimes feel like the walls are closing in.design attractor

I can’t claim that my home is completely minimalist, but it surely isn’t cluttered, and most people I know would call it a pretty minimalist home. One recent visitor saw my kitchen and remarked, “I’ve never seen a kitchen that looked so clean, so clear of stuff !” Well, I do my best to keep it clean, but the key is to remove the unnecessary stuff. For example, on the floor of my kitchen/dining room area are just a few essentials: dining table (clear of any clutter), chairs, some counter stools, a high chair, a step stool for the kids. On the counters are only the toaster, coffee maker and microwave.

My name is Baker. Well, actually it’s Adam Baker, but I have lazy friends. Most just prefer Baker. Courtney and Milligan are the core of my life and my deepest passion.Having created the massively long list of stuff on the other page I decided it was time to have the minimum list for people moving into their first flat/student accomodation/whatever. The list below is designed to show what you need immediately, what you should get soon and what can wait for later. The priorites are the ones that I think are generally important, I'd buy other things as urgent and skip some of the things on the list, and so will you, but that's part of the fun of setting up on your own. And as I said on the other page, there are things I've left off this list deliberately (at present) including food/drink, books/CDs etc., what kind of lighting is required in each room, decoration for each room, clothing etc. Even though "studio apartments/flats" may combine the bedroom, the sitting room (and sometimes the kitchen) into one room, and require you to share the bathroom, I'll still list the stuff separately.

10 Best Home Organization Blogs
In honor of my LOVE for top 10 lists (and I hope yours too), I'm happy to introduce MoveBuilder's " Top 10 Friday ". Each Friday from now on, you'll find a fun, informational top 10 list that's sure to be a great read and maybe even add to your arsenal of knowledge. While most professional organizers like Gail Gray have blogs that are super clean and organized, A Fresh Start seems to do it better than most. If you have a great need to tame the paperwork taking over your home (join the club), you'll find great tips on how to do that. You can also see lots of impressive photos that actually show you how to do it, and a list of categories covering anything you can imagine— from things you can do to organize your garage to things you can do to get ready to move (which is especially interesting to us).
