Heineken's new ad gets totally political, and it's surprisingly great. New school in Colorado Springs to help kids in recovery excel. A sober high school?
One could be up and operating in Colorado Springs by January. A group that wants to start a school for teens who are recovering from addiction to illegal drugs, prescription medications or alcohol is gaining widespread support and making progress. "High school is a really hostile environment for kids trying to get sober," said Cathy Plush, co-founder of Springs Recovery Connection. The organization provides peer support for individuals and families dealing with addiction. What typically happens is youths get sent to treatment, then return home and go back to school. "They often immediately relapse," Plush said. Landmark Recovery High School will start under the auspices of Community Prep, an alternative school founded in 1995 as the first charter school in the region, under Colorado Springs School District 11.

Earlier this week, Republican group Our Principles PAC used presidential candidate Donald Trump's own words against him in an ad featuring women reading his offensive quotes about the opposite sex.
Now, the CHIRLA (Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles) Action fund has turned Mr. Trump's statements about Latinos against him in another spot. The ad features various Latinos "owning up" to the characterizations Mr. Trump had made of them as dealers, killers, murderers, attackers, traffickers and thieves, each wearing a t-shirt with those titles. "I am a dealer," "I am a killer," "I am a thief," "I am an attacker," they say. But as each turns around, they reveal their true identities: the "trafficker" is actually a trafficker of stories -- a film director; the "murderer" is a murderer of boredom, a comedian; and the dealers include a dealer of flavors (a chef), a dealer of care (a nanny) and a dealer of justice (an attorney) and so forth.
Living in harmony. MaSAT. MaSAT (Madrid Street Advertising Takeover) is the second international street ad takeover project, and the third in a series of civil disobedience projects intent on changing our expectations of public behavior in our shared environments.
For this SAT project we targeted Cemusa bus shelters in 4 heavily populated locations around Madrid. This time, at the request of our Madrid based collaborators, participants were asked to submit only text based works. This fantastic idea allowed us to open up the submission request process to a wide range of individuals including sociologist, teachers, lawyers, gallery owners and anyone with a concern for the curation and participation in public space. Each of the 106 individuals were asked to submit one sentiment they wished to see exhibited on the streets. The result is a variety of unique visions of public dialogue and a glimpse at the possibilities available when we open up our public environment in a truly public way.
