#ForAnkeny A Powerful Time for Keystone Church to Impact Ankeny IA. Last weekend, Keystone Church of Ankeny launched our largest community action campaign since our launch in April 2017.
The church had a goal to impact the community through collecting donations of non-perishable food items and $10,000 in cash to help local social agencies and schools. Members were also challenged to bring clothing and needed items on October 29. Pastor Brent Minter shared the vision ahead of the #ForAnkeny campaign. This campaign involved all ages, including children and even our college students (link to salt company?). Tomorrow at @KeystoneAnkeny is BRING DAY for our #ForAnkeny campaign!
Many of our members got excited and even leveraged their businesses to make an impact and expand the pool of donations. When we were formally planted as Keystone Church by Cornerstone Church we knew we needed a new name as we established a local church here in Ankeny. One of those steps in establishing a church was choosing a name. As you look throughout the Scriptures, when God does something new, he often gives it a new name. As the elders in Ames and Ankeny considered this transition, they came to the conclusion that we needed a new name.
