Alright you guys, seriously, this orange chicken tastes exactly like the best orange chicken you’ve ever had at any restaurant.

I was very, very, very skeptical at first because I’ve never fried meat before and I was afraid it would turn out terribly. Kramer was adamant about having me make orange chicken that would remind me him Chinese take-out, though, and I couldn’t let him down! It was perfectly crispy and crunchy and the sauce was right on point; sweet and tangy and with a little bit of heat. I honestly can’t emphasize how good this orange chicken is. You won’t be able to stop eating it, and it heats up great in the microwave as leftovers the next day.

This orange chicken is a revelation. Your ingredients. Mix together the chicken, egg, salt, pepper, and 1 tablespoon of canola or vegetable oil, then add in 1/2 cup of cornstarch and 1/4 cup all-purpose flour. Heat enough vegetable or canola oil in a pot or a wok (about an inch deep in the pot) for about 5 minutes over high heat. Better Than Takeout Orange Chicken. Yesterday as I stood in the kitchen trying to figure out what to make for dinner I wondered to myself, how do those people do it on those shows where they are given random ingredients and are suppose come up with something genius. I think I stood there for a solid 20 minutes looking in the cupboards and staring into the freezer hoping that I would be struck by some ingenious idea. Then I saw the oranges, and it hit me “O-raang Shh-ikun”….that is orange chicken if you can’t understand the accent.

I love orange chicken, and I almost always order # 14 Orange Chicken when we order Chinese take out and I wondered to myself if I could make it better at home. This recipe most definitely delivered! The sauce is sweet, tangy, there is no lack in orange flavor, and the red pepper flakes give it just a touch of heat. Combine corn starch, salt, and pepper.

As you finish each batch, drain cooked chicken in a paper towel lined plate. Better Than Takeout Orange Chicken Ingredients Chicken 2 eggs, beaten. Succulent Grilled Chicken Breast Recipe. This is very basic BBQ chicken breast recipe. In this recipe I use chicken breasts, and because chicken breast meat tends to dry in the cooking process, I love to marinade it. This marinade will make the most succulent chicken breast you can imagine. Since the marinade is like a cocktail, you never know how much you’ll need. You have to have enough to cover the meat. So for marinade I’ll talk ratios and not quantities. 4 chicken breasts (you can use more or less, use as much as you need) Marinade 1 part vinegar 1 part wine or beer 1 part soy sauce 1 part any vegetable oil, you can use extra virgin olive oil or any other oil you like. 1 part water 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

My “Twist’ for this chicken breast recipe: be creative with your marinade, play with different wines, vinegars, and salty sauces; for example you can substitute soy sauce for Worcestershire sauce, just keep the ratios. Outdoor Hub. How to Cook Wild Game. It is 5:30 a.m. on a cool fall morning, and my phone is incessantly ringing. In somewhat of a comatose/hung-over state, I rush out of bed to see a picture of my buddy, Miller Gunn, staring back at me on my iPhone. Oftentimes when Miller calls I’m inclined to hit the silent button and go back to sleep, as it probably means he needs a ride home from a long night of honky-tonking on lower Broadway–again. And the only thing I’ll get as a thank you for this favor is a $1 breakfast burrito. But this call is different, so I answer it. I know I stand to benefit from this early morning wake-up call.

College football aside, there is one other event that takes place each fall season that ranks among my favorites: hunting season. So what do I like about hunting season? Perhaps that makes me less manly, seeing as though I let my friends handle the hunting and gathering while I do the cooking. Within the hour, Miller arrives with his fresh kill. My advice?
