first image roman ondák’s temporal work in 'taking place' image © designboom slovakian artist roman ondák’s project is a living infographic, a plotting of visitors’ heights whose mean will become increasingly apparent over the four months at the temporary stedelijk. when we visited the exhibition, participants’ names were still readable, but already there was some overlap. soon there will be nothing but a dense black line circumscribing the room and only the outliers’ names will be legible. in some ways, ondák’s work reflects the great challenge of the museum as a vehicle of history. individuals must and will emerge, and artists will resurrect and bring to the surface those narratives marginalized and forgotten by the nation or the institution.

31-year-old Alejandro Maestre Gasteazi has created an incredibly interesting photographic series about the struggle of an artist. First, though, you may be asking yourself these questions: Exactly, what are we looking at? How did the photographer achieve this strange, sculpture-like illusion? Gasteazi asked his friend Julián to cover himself with a mixture of blue paint and mud. He then photographed Julián at various stages. Later, in Photoshop, Gasteazi cut around his subject's body to make him appear like a floating sculpture.

Siberian craftsman Anatoly Konenko is responsible for the smallest aquarium in the world. A glass cube measuring 30 x 24 x 14 mm, filled with multicolor stones and sand, contains 10 ml of water for a tiny fish. It also have a little water purification filter to keep the water healthy for fish.
