Roller bike chains—flexible, slinky, steel mechanisms—can also be used for fine art. South Korean Artist, Seo Young Deok, has fashioned an exhibit of bike chain figure sculptures, a few of which are shown below. The figures—mostly torsos and faces—look muscular and meticulously proporioned, some in an ancient Greek fashion, others in almost a “Lara Croft: Tomb Rader” way. The bodies are broken or shredded at the limbs and necks, or as a gash up the torso.
