If you find a way to show them something, they can use their own intelligence to learn. This is my approach to teaching, trying to be both informative while allowing the students to find their own way of learning. I've spent the last 12 years teaching in various capacities.

Subjects covered are business, Chinese culture, communications, computer Science, engineering, humanities, law, mathematics, and medicine. These university level materials are available for free download. On Tuesday, February 7 at 3 pm ET (tentative), the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) expects to release its report entitled “Engage to Excel: Producing One Million Additional College Graduates with Degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.” OLI director Candace Thille served on the working group to produce the report. This report provides a strategy for improving STEM education during the first two years of college that we believe is responsive to both the challenges and the opportunities that this crucial stage in the STEM education pathway presents.

Please note that we launched a new site on June 30, 2011.ArsDigita University was a one-year, intensive post-baccalaureate program in Computer Science based on the undergraduate course of study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The majority of the instructors were professors from MIT and the program was tuition free. After running from September 2000 through July 2001, seeing the first class to graduation, the program was forced to shut down. This library of open educational resources includes lectures and coursework from the ArsDigita curriculum. These university level materials are available for free download.
