Posted by adi on Feb 6, 2012 in The world of the web | I've been asked to deliver a training session on the use of Twitter in event marketing, so thought I'd share here some of my thoughts thus far. Promote the live blog – ask delegates to promote it to their colleagues – it’ll save them having to make notes and will prepare them for the post-event debrief when they return to the office Post up photos of the event – don’t forget to post photos of you with the speakers and @reply them so their followers get to see it. Ditto for sponsors and other influential people.

There are french Canadians too. I might add... We have two official Languages. I'll also put on top of that; I live in Thailand. by gdyk Jan 25

Cheers for identi.ca looks like a cool little site. Canadian too, which makes it heaps better! by gdyk Jan 20

Twitter has been pearled 52 more times then facebook, perhaps that is just because people don't feel they need to pearl facebook, just an interesting point I wanted to make. by gdyk Jan 20

I find it interesting that Twitter has more connections then facebook. considering facebook trumps twitter in users, perhaps to the geeks of the world (I include myself in this) twitter is a more important tool. Just a speculation. by gdyk Jan 20

Ah, I had a feeling you were connected to pearltrees. I really am loving it, by the way. Very unique service in all aspects. Design, Functionality, Convinience. Big thumbs up. I am a designer / photographer for a private school in Pattaya, Thailand. Send me an email - angelidarling@gmail.com or angelidarling@googlewave.com by gdyk Jan 21

Yep I'm in France and Switzerland. Working at Pearltrees actually, not in web design but in Web in general. And you? by wallen Jan 20

It is nice, but the internet is advertised as 4 - 10 mb being the best. which is not fun. Are in in France? You look like your into web design. Am I correct? by gdyk Jan 20

Ah understand. Lucky you to be in Thailand! Love this country! by wallen Jan 20

Cheers mate, unfortunately, I have been having problems with my slow internet connection (I live in Thailand atm) so my tree often crashes half way through editing. but hopefully it is fixed up in time. I wish pearltrees had more active discussions, I think it is a great tool, cheers mate. by gdyk Jan 20

Hi there, very interesting account with great content! I just noticed that you had put pearls outside of the media and collaboration pearltrees. It's better when inside cause a pearltree is like a folder and you then fully benefit from Pearltrees social aspects. Cheers. Julien by wallen Jan 20
