Three times the spirit, I suppose! The Trim the Tree blocks are perfect for Christmas. We use a new, super easy method to construct the Trim the Tree blocks. To get started on the quilt, be sure to download the fabric requirements and choose fabric from your stash or pick up one of the Aspen Frost kits. So while I was at it, I decided to make a quick and simple tutorial to show how I did it. The equilateral triangle is a fun one to play with. The best part is that they're easy to sew together without any Y seams. For this project you will want 24 light, low-volume prints, triangles and 12 red triangles, 3 triangles each from 4 different red prints. The top of the triangle has a notch cut out of it. Once you have cut your piece, you will unfold it and cut it in half. 5. You will rotate the ruler from edge to edge to cut the triangles. 6. Because you are sewing on the bias edge of the triangle, I recommend pinning. After sewing, marry your seams. While the fabric is still warm from pressing, you can finger press a clean seam.
