Vehemently Eschew Obfuscation

Mashable. A state-owned telecommunications company in China now stores the iCloud data for Apple’s China-based users. This is really bad news for dissidents and critics of the government. In February, Apple caused an uproar when it announced it would be moving Chinese users’ iCloud accounts — and their encryption keys — to a China-based server company Guizhou-Cloud Big Data.

Human rights advocates warned this move would be dangerous, especially so for Chinese dissidents. Apple’s response was that it simply had no choice but to comply if it wanted to continue providing its iCloud service to Chinese customers. Fast forward to today: China Telecom, a government owned telco, is taking over the iCloud data from Guizhou-Cloud Big Data. Chinese state-run media is heralding the move as a win for consumers, but Chinese citizens have been extremely condemnatory of the decision. Human rights groups remained highly critical of the decision. 3D printed guns are now legal… What’s next? Are You a Wounded Healer?   | Mario Murillo Ministries. They have messed up and then gotten back up. Trampled and left for dead, God restored them! They have no image to protect or ego to wound. They are the most dangerous people that Satan will ever face! It is clear that a new breed of weapon is about to emerge. They are the wounded healers.

Who are these people? Well, they do not have every hair in place or a clean record. They gained all new appetites in the furnace of affliction. They are like Peter at Pentecost. You cannot find such zeal in religious do-gooders who never brave beyond ivied halls of respectability. Wounded healers do not boast of clean uniforms and of battles evaded, but of scars and gates of hell invaded. We all know of the verse in Daniel 11:32 that says,” Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. “ What we tend to overlook is the verse that comes later that speaks of the wounded healers.

What about you? Go forward in what God is leading you to do in life. In the early 1900s, 16-year-old William Whiting Borden graduated from The Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania – a prestigious boarding school known for sending its alumni to Princeton University. He was an heir to the Borden family mining fortune, and had a clear path to wealth and success set before him. But before Borden began his Ivy League education at Yale University, his parents sent him on a yearlong trip around the world as a graduation present. Earlier in his life, Borden had come to Christ through the great ministry of D.L. Moody. While traveling the world, something happened that no one expected. As Borden crisscrossed through Japan, India, Syria, Turkey and other countries, he was moved by the spiritual and physical needs of people around the world.

Borden wrote a letter to his parents and informed them he wanted to spend the remainder of his life as a missionary. Upon his return, Borden went on to Yale and graduated. We can all get in a mode of playing it safe in life. 6 Ways to Quickly Improve Your Conversion Rate and Make More Money From Ecommerce. Daniele papuli. These 2 teens became multimillionaires by selling homemade bath bombs. Expect the unexpected.

That’s the quote that Caroline and Isabel Bercaw turn to when the going gets tough. And it’s pretty fitting for them, considering they’re the masterminds behind the multi-million dollar business Da Bomb Bath Fizzers. Oh, and they haven’t even graduated from high school yet. Talk about unexpected. It all started in 2013, when the sisters decided to make their own bath bombs. Caroline and Isabel, then 10 and 11, loved using bath bombs but felt there was room for improvement. So, the girls decided to sign up for the local art fair in their hometown of Minneapolis. The twist? Imagine their shock when they completely sold out on the fair’s first day.

“It was a two-day fair, so that was really exciting for us, but we were also kind of panicked,” says Caroline, now 15. The girls powered through this unexpected turn of events by enlisting the help of their parents to make as many bath bombs as they could for the next day. Greatness, audacity, courage, originality, and heroism are being degraded. Our children are barraged with messages of defeat and limits. Worse yet, they are told that wanting to excel might hurt someone else’s feelings. The curse on too many of this generation is they’re trained to do just enough to get by. Instead of going for brilliance, and creativity, many harp, whine, and scream against the unfair world. “Besides” their teachers say, “you can’t change the world.” They believe this ideology makes the world safer.

Seneca had it right when he said, “it is not because the times are dangerous that men do not dare, it is because men do not dare that the times are dangerous.” Small people with small minds mold the future. Tragically, the lie that you can’t change the world also permeates Christian Colleges. Billy Graham and Oral Roberts. How bad is our defeatism? I rebuke both those statements. The promise and power of God to change the world is still in force. 1. 2. 3. Like this: Chattanooga, Tennessee has found a way to reinvent itself as a startup center of the South. Emirates flight attendant tips for staying fresh on long-haul flights. The Emirates cabin crew told Business Insider how they stay pristine on long-haul flights.

Emirates It's not easy staying fresh and hydrated on a long-haul flight. The temptation to indulge in too much booze and stodgy plane food can often leave you feeling groggy and restless, which can make the journey feel even longer. Emirates, which was recently named the best airline in the world in the 2017 TripAdvisor's Travellers Choice Awards, boasts some of the most glamorous flight attendants in the industry — and they seem to have figured out the best ways to stay healthy at high altitudes.

Here are the seven things you should do to say pristine on a long-haul flight, according to Emirates flight attendants: 1. Get into the habit of using a good face mask two to three times a week before you head off on your travels. Shutterstock/Alena Ozerova 2. Science Says Do This for Them (but Their Schools Probably Won't)

This is a story about gifted kids, science--and a big mistake. It starts with a longitudinal study of some the most intelligent young people the United States has ever produced--a study involving more than 5,000 students that spans 45 years. Unfortunately, it's also about why your kids have little chance of benefiting from its conclusions, even if they're truly gifted (unless perhaps you're an incredibly assertive and strategic parent). In short, researchers say we face four big problems, even as they suggest they might have solutions: 2. Even when we do, we stifle many of them by keeping them in a rigid, bureaucratic education system. 3. 4. You can see why this gets a little controversial, right?

So why aren't schools flocking at least to study the results of the research? The research, which centers largely around a study called the Study of Mathematically Precocious Youth, or SMPY, began with a now-60-year-old man, whom the original researcher referred to as "Student Zero. " Secret settings hidden in your Android phone will make it feel twice as fast – BGR. Modern Android phones are so much faster and smoother than they used to be even a few short years ago. Of course, speed on a smartphone is just like battery life: you can never have enough. The latest-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon processor has been combined with extra RAM in 2018 Android flagship phones to create the smoothest and most powerful Android experience to date. In fact, technology has progressed so much that a couple of recent Android flagship phones have been found to be even faster than current-generation iPhone models running iOS 11.

That’s right, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and OnePlus 6 both actually managed to beat the iPhone X in real-life speed tests on YouTube. Phones like the OnePlus 6, Samsung’s latest flagships, the LG G7 ThinQ, and the new HTC U12+ are all wonderfully fast right out of the box. We’ve covered this trick before here on the site. If Hacking DNA Frightens You, This Will Terrify You. We're all familiar with the double helix that constitutes our genetic makeup, the incredible progress in decoding it, and the potential for hacking it to eradicate disease or even create bespoke organisms. But what most of us don't know is that there may be an even more fascinating and possibly darker side to genetics--our behavioral genome.

A few years back I wrote an article about a good friend, Judith Glaser, author of Conversational Intelligence: How Great Leaders Build Trust and Get Extraordinary Results who introduced me to some mind-bending research that pointed to changes in our genome based on conversations and relationships. This isn't just the effect of feel-good chemical such as dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin but actually changes to our genetic makeup. "...to adopt an even darker perspective, I could manipulate their likes and dislikes in a way that edits their behavioral genome, passing those new edited behaviors to their children. " Amazingly, none of this is really new. The-difference-between-a-boss-and-a-leader.

Women are gaining traction across the globe, from roles as executives at Fortune 500 companies and heads of state to entrepreneurs of small shops, start-ups, and well-known brands.

During a recent trip to South America, I visited Argentina and Paraguay and spoke with thousands of aspiring female entrepreneurs. While so many nations, such as the U.S. and Australia, are making progress in decreasing the gender gap, Hispanic communities in particular are still struggling. The attendees shared stories of their male-dominated culture, where most are housewives who are dependent upon their husbands for money. It also got me thinking about how women entrepreneurs fare in our country and around the globe. In The United States Women now make up 40 percent of new entrepreneurs in the U.S.

Growing up, my favorite book (and the only one I kept from my childhood) was The Boxcar Children, a story of four orphans who live in an abandoned train car with few belongings. I didn’t realize it until I became an adult, but this book resonated with me because I’ve always had minimalist tendencies. Less is definitely more. Then stuff happens: Marriage, kids, pets, and, while it’s hard to admit, keeping up with the Joneses. Suddenly, our closets, cabinets, and drawers were bursting with things we never knew we needed. One of my favorite things to do when I’m bored is de-clutter–it makes me happy to see open spaces and order–so when The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Japanese cleaning guru Marie Kondo came out in 2014, I eagerly grabbed a copy.
