I'll admit, black and white Westerns probably don't jump up as the first thing on many people's movies to watch lists. Well, I encourage you to watch this one. Jim Jarmusch is an independent legend. Recently he has made a bit higher profile movie with Billy Murry called "Broken Flowers", but nobody saw that either. Jim doesn't care. So what's so great about it you might ask? Johnny Depp plays the Dead Man, William Blake, an accountant who after murdering a man in a small town becomes a very wanted man. This movie is great. Top 100: Great Movies Every Guy Must See. It intends no less than to evoke the strategies we use to live our lives. After beginning my first viewing in confusion, I began to glimpse its purpose and by the end was eager to see it again, then once again, and I am not finished. Patrick’s Top 10 Films of 2010. For a year that started off slow and kept going slowly during the summer, 2010 really ratcheted up its game as soon as August rolled around.

A boring year became an exciting one as picture after picture from the best directors working started pouring out. Just about all of my favorite directors put a picture out this year and they were all very, very good. It was a lackluster year for blockbusters but a terrific year for films that mean something more.
