Dragonfly Crafts: Make Stunning Pearl and Bead Dragonfly Art and Craft Ornaments

These lovely dragonfly ornaments are variations of the beauty shown in the photo to the left. See the Dragonfly Ornaments Art and Craft Ideas page for full instructions with step-by-step photos on how to make them. Except where indicated otherwise, for all of the dragonfly crafts below I used 20 gauge wire for the entire ornament except for the very thin wire used to attach the spirals and beads in the dragonfly's wings.

For that purpose, I used 26 gauge wire except where otherwise indicated. (I prefer using 28 gauge instead of 26 but I did not have wire that thin for most of the colors I used, so I made do with materials that I already had.) Click on the photos below to enlarge. Fantasibild - blandade tekniker.

Autumn woodland treasure sculpture. Thought I should post about this project we did over the weekend, because the kids had a lovely time doing it, and the gift recipient (Grandma) really liked it too, so a win-win!

The making dragonflies using maple seeds and twigs appeared in Family Fun magazine a month or two ago, credited to a Shanti Nordholt. Here is the link to the originals (that also have glass bead eyes). As you can see in the picture below, we didn't do the glass bead eyes. I think we might have some somewhere in the shipping, but right now, a craft that we can do with just hot glue, paint and stuff we found on the ground on the way home is where it's at!

We had a couple of different sorts of seeds, so maybe one type was maple and one type sycamore? The conkers became the centers for the big flowers, with the sycamore seed petals hot glued around them, and the dragon fly bodies were a twig that had a natural little Y shape at the end to be the antennae. The kids painted them all up with acrylic paint. Inspirerande, kreativa och enkla pyssel att göra tillsammans! Christmas Trees to make. The Lovely Cupboard: DIY Paper Trees. I love paper crafts, and Christmas is the perfect time to experiment with new decorations.

The Lovely Cupboard: DIY Paper Trees

I wanted some little trees to add to my buffet that would lend some height to the long table. These paper trees cost me less than $20 and an hour to make. These are so simple and would be perfect for a craft party. Even kids can make these. Hello paper trees, I love you to pieces. We picked up a much larger tree this afternoon...

Lolly Chessie's Famous CP Christmas Trees - Crate Paper

My name is Lolly Chessie and I'm thrilled to be sharing my first tutorial here on the Crate Paper blog! One of the projects I did for CP this past Summer CHA was two little trees! I thought it would be fun to share how I made them with you all! What you need: Two paper mache tree shapes. Lets Get Started! Start by either cutting the petal shape using the Sizzix - "Flowers, Beauty Bloom" die (found HERE) or if you have SCAL and a Cricut you can use this .svg file found HERE (1 sheet for the larger petals) and HERE (1 sheet for the medium and smaller petals).

Just a note: If you use the Sizzix die, your petals will be all the same size and that's totally ok! Snowmen:) X-Mas. Ornaments.
