What 3.9 Hours of Mouse Movement in Minecraft Looks Like | Geekosystem - StumbleUpon What 3.9 Hours of Mouse Movement in Minecraft Looks Like | Geekosystem - StumbleUpon What you see above is a graph of the mouse movements of redditor ValTM playing Minecraft for around 3.9 hours. The map was made by the program IOGraph, which I promptly downloaded and installed. The java app tracks user mouse movement (as lines) and stops (as dots that increase in size with duration of the stop). The result is a neat little piece of abstract art that ostensibly contains some level of information about mouse movement, but does a better job of looking cool. Apparently, there’s a bit of a tradition of using IOGraph while gaming. Check out a few more from different games after the jump.

Researchers from North Carolina State University have developed a new technique that allows graphics processing units (GPUs) and central processing units (CPUs) on a single chip to collaborate – boosting processor performance by an average of more than 20 percent. “Chip manufacturers are now creating processors that have a ‘fused architecture,’ meaning that they include CPUs and GPUs on a single chip,” says Dr. Huiyang Zhou, an associate professor of electrical and computer engineering who co-authored a paper on the research. “This approach decreases manufacturing costs and makes computers more energy efficient. A Penny for Mars: US Coin Riding NASA Rover to Red Planet | Mars Exploration & Mars Penny, Coins in Space | NASA Mars Science Laboratory Mission & Curiosity Rover | Space.com A penny in today's economy does not go very far, but that has not stopped NASA from making a 1-cent piece stretch all the way to another planet: Mars. The copper coin is attached to a smartphone-size plaque at the end of the robotic arm on Curiosity, NASA's Mars Science Laboratory car-size rover. The plaque, which was added to the vehicle as a calibration target, looks like an eye chart supplemented with color chips and the attached penny. NASA launched the Curiosity rover last November and it is scheduled to touch down on Mars in August. Targeted for a landing inside the Red Planet's Gale Crater, Curiosity will then begin its two-year mission to determine whether the area's environment has ever been favorable to support microbial life.
The 1 percent have long had smartphones from Porsche and Vertu to quench their high-end thirst, but when it comes to dual-SIM handsets, the elite have had to settle for something a little more ordinary. For those in need, Gresso created Azimuth, the first dual-SIM luxury handset. Starting at $2,000, the phone is made of titanium, with both the keys and logo crafted out of 18K or white gold. Since appearances are all that matter, you're getting some pretty low-end specs under the hood, including 2GB of "internal memory," a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0 and a tiny 1,100mAh battery. To put things in perspective, Samsung's Galaxy S5 starts with 16GB of built-in storage, a 16-megapixel camera and a 2,800mAh battery. The difference being, anyone can buy an S5. Engadget
