Body Language Basics - Syncrat Publishing

Throughout history it has been an advantage if an individual can read body language. Body language helps in everyday life from closing a business deal or trusting someone with your life, to recognising when someone is upset. Body language is the art of making an educated guess at a person’s feelings or intentions based on their posture, movement and positioning.

50 of the Most Important Landmarks of the World (Part 1)

Originally, a landmark literally meant a geographic feature used by explorers and others to find their way back or through an area. Now, a landmark includes anything that is easily recognizable, such as a monument or a building, or any other spot to designate places that might be of interest to tourists. A few examples are the Statue of Liberty, Uluru, the Taj Mahal, Mount Everest, and the Eiffel Tower. When we see one of those, everyone knows in which part of the world they are located. Here are 50 landmarks for you to recognize. Are you ready for a trip around the world? http://www.pxleyes.com/blog/2011/05/the-50-most-important-landmarks-of-the-world/

http://www.barinacraft.com/food-drinks/wine-food-pairing-chart.html Barina Craft's home bar site. This chart was compiled from many other food and wine pairing charts to provide a quick reference and ongoing resource for your home bar's wine rack or cellar. The commonly recommended complementary matches from a number of different sommelier guides, wine tasting experts, winery suggestions and industry publications were tabulated yielding a kind of consensus grouping of lists. Informal observations suggested much more commonality and agreement on the wine pairings advocated at the ends of the taste spectrum. For this narrow list of choices, it was Chardonnay and Zinfandel, which illustrates how wine is very much an individual experience. Use this as a guide for ideas and experiment to find favorites matching your palate.

Grocery Bag "Yarn" |

When people see the handbags some of us carry around they never believe that we’ve made them from regular grocery bags. I bet I’ve been asked about 65,000 times in the last few years–”How can you possibly crochet with a grocery bag?” Consequently, this story has been told quite a bit, but never here on the blog. So, for those of you who’d like to know— this is how you do it. http://www.graciousrain.com/2010/01/27/grocery-bag-yarn/

How to make hard candy jewels | Chica and Jo

Jo and I have been doing lots of projects over the last month or so for Little Jo’s birthday party, and I want to show you one of the projects I did for part of the party decor. We found ourselves needing some round gems in just the right color of teal. If they could be edible, all the better. So I did some shopping and some research and came up with everything I needed to make hard candy jewels.
