Published time: September 13, 2013 09:37 Edited time: September 15, 2013 17:41 The NSA used ‘man in the middle’ hack attacks to impersonate Google and fool web users, leaks have revealed. The technique circumvents encryption by redirecting users to a copycat site which relays all the data entered to NSA data banks. Brazilian television network Globo News released a report based on classified data divulged by former CIA worker Edward Snowden on Sunday.

The report itself blew the whistle on US government spying on Brazilian oil giant Petrobras, but hidden in amongst the data was information the NSA had impersonated Google to get its hands on user data. Globo TV showed slides from a 2012 NSA presentation explaining how the organization intercepts data and re-routes it to NSA central. This particular method of intercepting internet communications is quite common among expert hackers as it avoids having to break through encryption. » Putin’s Emergency Warning to America Alex Jones. A potential US strike on Syria is fraught with dangerous consequences Vladimir Putin September 12, 2013 MOSCOW — RECENT events surrounding Syria have prompted me to speak directly to the American people and their political leaders. It is important to do so at a time of insufficient communication between our societies.

The United Nations’ founders understood that decisions affecting war and peace should happen only by consensus, and with America’s consent the veto by Security Council permanent members was enshrined in the United Nations Charter. No one wants the United Nations to suffer the fate of the League of Nations, which collapsed because it lacked real leverage. Syria is not witnessing a battle for democracy, but an armed conflict between government and opposition in a multireligious country. No one doubts that poison gas was used in Syria.

But force has proved ineffective and pointless. Vladimir V. » Venture Capitalist Claims US Troops Have Received Orders to Deploy to Syria Alex Jones. Noting that the development was “extremely troubling,” Bubalo added that it, “contradicts the posturing and false reassurances and table-pounding of Obama and Kerry.”

Bubalo claims the information was “sourced thoroughly,” but he received flak from some of the respondents in the comments below his article. Tags: war Print this page. Breaking! Leaked Snowden docs show for first time that DNA test verified identity of Osama bin Laden’s body - Americas - World. The Pentagon has previously denied that it had any record of such tests, and reportedly handed all its information on the bin Laden operation to the CIA where they were less likely to be made visible to the public. But former National Security Agency (NSA) contractor Edward Snowden has now gone to the press with secret budget files, held by the Defence Intelligence Agency, which show that forensic tests took place and “provided a conclusive match” on the terrorist leader’s identity.

The so-called “black budget” information was passed on to The Washington Post, and as well as revealing the DNA tests eight hours after bin Laden died, they show that the NSA was able to track calls made by al-Qa’ida operatives, and that reconnaissance missions took more than 387 images of the Abbottabad compound in advance of the raid. The findings come after previous attempts to gain access to operation details, including the DNA analysis reports, had been blocked by the Defence Department. Ex-CIA chief: What Edward Snowden did. According to Dr Dean Burke, former chief biochemist at the National Cancer Institute, more that 50 000 Americans a year are dying of cancer caused by fluoridated drinking water.

The lethal dose of NaF (an artificial fluoride) is 50 times smaller than that of CaF2 (a naturally-occurring fluoride) . - Dr. Hardy Limeback, biochemist and Professor of Dentistry, University of Toronto, former consultant to the Canadian Dental Association In 1998 Guan et al. gave similar doses of fluoride as used by the Mullenix group and found that several key chemicals in the brain -- those that form the membrane of brain cells, were substantially depleted in rats given fluoride, as compared to those who did not receive fluoride. 30% of industrial waste from semiconductor plants is fluorine-containing waste. Drones are capable highly advanced surveillance, and drones already in use by law enforcement can carry various types of equipment including live-feed video cameras, infrared cameras, heat sensors, and radar. Some military versions can stay in air the hours for hours or days at a time, and their high-tech cameras can scan entire cities, or alternatively, zoom in and read a milk carton from 60,000 feet.

They can also carry wifi crackers and fake cell phone towers that can determine your location or intercept your texts and phone calls. Drone manufacturers even admit they are made to carry “less lethal” weapons such as tasers or rubber bullets. Thanks to a provision in the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012, drones use in the United States is set to expand rapidly over the next few years. The FAA has yet to provide information on how these drones will be used. The FBI has used drones for warrantless surveillance in the US in 10 different cases.

U.S. military drone surveillance is expanding to hot spots beyond declared combat zones. For a brief moment, the crash drew back the curtain on Operation Nomad Shadow, a secretive U.S. military surveillance program. Since November 2011, the U.S. Air Force has been flying unarmed drones from Incirlik Air Base in Turkey in an attempt to suppress a long-simmering regional conflict. The camera-equipped Predators hover above the rugged border with Iraq and beam high-resolution imagery to the Turkish armed forces, helping them pursue PKK rebels as they slip back and forth across the mountains. As the Obama administration dials back the number of drone attacks in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen, the U.S. military is shifting its huge fleet of unmanned aircraft to other hot spots around the world. This next phase of drone warfare is focused more on spying than killing and will extend the Pentagon’s robust surveillance networks far beyond traditional, declared combat zones.

The US Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) has authorised the first domestic drones that can be used commercially for aerial surveillance. Unmanned aerial drones have previously been the exclusive reserve of the military, particularly the US military. Infamously used used to target militants -- and whoever they happen to be with, civilian or otherwise -- unmanned drones have been highly controversial. Human Rights Watch even launched a Campaign to Ban Killer Robots. Domestic use among police authorities and the FBI in the US has steadily crept up. In June of this year, the FBI's director Robert Mueller admitted that the FBI uses drones for surveillance during investigations, adding that it was in "nascent stages" and that the use was limited.

In the UK, police minister Damian Green has backed the domestic use of drones by the government, saying they should be used " like any other piece of police kit". However, the use of surveillance drones for commercial purposes has been restricted. FBI admits to using surveillance drones over US soil | World news. The FBI has admitted it sometimes uses aerial surveillance drones over US soil, and suggested further political debate and legislation to govern their domestic use may be necessary. Speaking in a hearing mainly about telephone data collection, the bureau's director, Robert Mueller, said it used drones to aid its investigations in a "very, very minimal way, very seldom".

However, the potential for growing drone use either in the US, or involving US citizens abroad, is an increasingly charged issue in Congress, and the FBI acknowleged there may need to be legal restrictions placed on their use to protect privacy. "It is still in nascent stages but it is worthy of debate and legislation down the road," said Mueller, in response to questions from Hawaii senator Mazie Hirono. Hirono said: "I think this is a burgeoning concern for many of us. " "Our footprint is very small," Mueller told the Senate judiciary committee. "We have very few and have limited use. Protests | Drones Watch. U.S. judge almost shut down surveillance program - World. A federal judge who oversaw a secret spy court almost shut down the U.S. government's domestic surveillance program designed to fight terrorism after he "lost confidence" in officials' ability to operate it, documents released Tuesday show. U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton issued a blistering opinion in March 2009 after discovering government officials had been accessing domestic phone records for nearly three years without "reasonable, articulate suspicion" that they were connected to terrorism. Walton said the government's excuse that the program was complicated "strained credulity," and he ordered the National Security Agency to conduct an "end-to-end" review of its processes and policies while also ordering closer monitoring of its activities.

Later in 2009, a Justice Department lawyer reported to the spy court a "likely violation" of NSA surveillance rules. The documents released Tuesday came in response to a lawsuit filed by the Electronic Frontier Foundation. Insider Trading.
