Livid Instruments
Livid Builder is a line of Do-It-Yourself parts that make it easy for makers to design their own physical computing devices and MIDI control surfaces using buttons, knobs, encoders, velocity pads, arcade buttons, accelerometers, faders, other sensors, and talkback LED’s. The easy-to-use Brain V2 , Brain jr. , and Omni Board allows you to easily configure and create a MIDI control device using modular circuit boards that can be organized and arranged into customized setups and configurations. The Livid Builder line is inspired by our own desires to create custom controllers using quality production-grade parts, without the need to create custom circuit boards for every design. Even if you have no experience with electronics we have designed the Builder series and provide tutorials to make it easy for beginners and productive for advanced hackers. The Builder Brain v2 is the central device in the Builder line of products.Mappings

Ghosts on Tape's Bay Heat Mix
Filed under: Podcast 11/12/2009 As part of the kick-off for our brand-new City Guide page and mobile application , we've invited some of our favorite artists to put together special editions of the XLR8R podcast highlighting the artists and sounds that make their hometowns unique. We begin with San Francisco's Ghosts on Tape , whose Bay Heat Mix combines his own tropical turbo-crunk productions—many of them unreleased—with bass-heavy electro, glitch, cumbia , reggaeton , and more from a legion of fellow Bay Area dancefloor smashers.About Sean Beeson | Sean Beeson | Composer for Media

Means I came here to (whatever you came for) not get involved in politics or gossip. (29)No out-takes! If you start a song, finish it and put it on the album. When you're done, you should upload the songs to the internet. If you have your own web space, that's great. If you don't mind releasing your work under a public license, try archive.org first, since users dont need to sign up to listen to your stuff, and they have really fast servers. Album-a-day regular Maxfield suggests lulu.com , where you can you put your album up for free download and also sell CDs.

In February 2009 we pushed the big green GO button and publicly launched Astor Bell. During the first year we released 12 titles, all very near and dear to our hearts. We wanted to mark our first anniversary with something really special and memorable. After kicking around a pile of ideas on what that might be we decided on loosening our grip and opening the gates into the Astor Bell brain. The sum of our contributing artist's work is greater than the label name we put on it. And it is surely greater than two 30-somethings sitting behind computers making the files available to you.
