The Laboratoire Ouvert Lyonnais ( LOL ) (Lyon Open Laboratory) is a hackerspace in Lyon, Rhône-Alpes, France. In early January 2011 , a member of the LOG (Grenoble Open Laboratory), a pair of people involved in the Lyon community, and a sprinkling of persons from different technological (bearded informaticians) and artistic (hot hot hot, the flames at the Friche RVI ) backgrounds came together at an apéro to see if they wanted to do things together. The answer was yes, letting just to see how. The LOL was launched.

Hackers Ouverts, c’est une petite bande de hackers qui se sont rassemblés au gré des rencontres pour fonder un site sur lequel échanger sur leur passe-temps préféré et faire découvrir au grand public ce que font et ce que peuvent apporter les hackerspaces aujourd’hui. Qu’est-ce qu’un hacker ? Souvent utilisé à tort pour décrire des escrocs informatiques, ce terme désigne en fait toute personne faisant une utilisation originale ou inventive des objets qui l’entourent , visant à exploiter au maximum leurs capacités pour le plaisir de ses propres réalisations et pour les partager avec d’autres.
