Crochet Dilly Bag Pattern In response to further requests, I've endeavoured to write a pattern for the crochet dilly bag. A much more difficult project, both for me to write and for you to make. To keep it as simple as possible, the pattern is for a smaller version of the large bag previously shown. This bag measures 15" (37.5cms) in circumference x 8 " (20cms) in height, an ideal size for a young girl, and also useful on many occasions for a big girl. How to Recycle Yarn from a Thrift-Store Sweater October 4th, 2008 Email 62 users recommend When you're done ripping, you'll have hundreds of yards of brand-new yarn for knitting! Lee Meredith This example sweater is bulky yarn, so it'll be easier to see what's going on. Springtime Wreath This is my design for a little Springtime Crocheted Wreath. The pattern/tutorial that I'm writing out here is for the circular green part of the wreath, and the general putting together of the whole thing :: you can use whatever flowers you like to adorn it with (the flowers I've used here are my Little Picot Flowers, pattern found here). I've hooked my wreath on a 4mm hook, using Rowan handknit DK cotton. The wreath measures approx 15 cm/6 inches across. I'm using UK crochet terms, as follows ::

Making a picnic dress Several people have asked me how to make my Picnic Dress. It’s a bit too complicated for the step by step instruction on how to draft a pattern I gave for the draped t-shirt, but I hope this will be enough detail for anyone who is familiar with how dresses are made. You will need 4 yards of 45″ fabric and an 18″ zipper. These are the pieces of the pattern. Mark out the measurements listed and the distances between them.

Sliding loop : an easy way to begin granny square! The double sliding loop is my favorite way to begin a granny square. I find this method fabulous as I can make the beginning ring the size I want. I worked it with a double ring as I find it more safe and easier to weave in end the tails. And here is a tutorial just to share with you my way to work :

Crochet Star Making - A Tutorial. Hello. I have been making crochet stars this week. For no good reason really, just because they're fun to make. So I thought some of you might like to have a bit of crafty fun too. These stars use up tiny amounts of wool, so get your scraps box out!

2 Row Reversible Scarf Have you been into the shop lately? I only ask because if you have you've seen me all bundled up while my mom is in t-shirts. I'm cold. All the time. I blame the fact that I sit down at the computer and click through ravelry all day (my next pattern is going to be for a mouse glove to cover up my cold mouse-clicking hand). And by "click through ravelry all day" I mean... updating the website and answering store email. Neat Ripple Pattern Ahhhhhhhh look at all those hooky ripplesome ripples, aren't they glorious? I love crocheting this pattern, its relatively simple, rhythmic and soothing, but playing with colours in this way is also energising, exciting and a lot of fun. Well to me it is any road. there's something magical and mesmerising about the way the ripple effect makes the colours sing and dance next to each other, and it's a pattern I can see myself coming back to time after time. When I made my first ripple blanket last year (finished in August 2008), I followed a pattern in Jan Eatons book (the Soft Waves pattern), and it has to be said that at first this pattern was not plain sailing.

It seems weaker and is not as pleasing to me, I just don’t like it : ) Don’t know why I didn’t do it this way the first time I got the idea, but at least I thought of it now. For the size I did in the example: Ch 22 Ch 21 (corrected 8-24-13) In the 6th chain from the hook, 3dc.

You need: 25 Patterns I Want to Crochet for Blog-a-Long Back in March I posted 25 lists of 25 things to inspire crocheters. Since then I’ve been posting my lists of 25 things. For example, last week I posted my 25 favorite crochet quotes. One of the items on the list is to collect 25 patterns of things that you want to crochet. I recently decided that I want to participate in Come Blog-a-long over on Ravelry (where we all do posts on the things that we want to work on crocheting/knitting and then we blog about the status of those projects weekly). I decided to combine my 25 patterns with my Blog-a-long participation.
