En. TPP Transparency for Healthcare Annex Today, Wednesday 10 June 2015, WikiLeaks publishes the Healthcare Annex to the secret draft "Transparency" Chapter of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP), along with each country’s negotiating position. The Healthcare Annex seeks to regulate state schemes for medicines and medical devices. It forces healthcare authorities to give big pharmaceutical companies more information about national decisions on public access to medicine, and grants corporations greater powers to challenge decisions they perceive as harmful to their interests.

This is a rush transcript. Copy may not be in its final form. AMY GOODMAN: We return to our exclusive interview with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. I spoke to him inside the Ecuadorean Embassy in London on Monday. AMY GOODMAN: Julian Assange, let’s stay with the United States for a moment, with the TPP, the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which certainly doesn’t only involve the United States, but there’s a huge debate within the United States about it right now. And I dare say, some of that debate is as a result of what WikiLeaks revealed.

For some people, this treaty, that will determine 40 percent of the global economy, the only thing that we have seen about it comes from WikiLeaks. Explain what the TPP is and the information that you got, that you put out about this top-secret agreement. JULIAN ASSANGE: Well, the TPP is an international treaty that has 29 different chapters. AMY GOODMAN: They can go into a room and look at it. JULIAN ASSANGE: They can go into a room. WikiLeaks - en. Assange Reveals That The West is Behind ISIS And Ukraine Crisis And Israel Behind Hamas AnonHQ. March 27th, 2015 | by CoNN Activism Washington might hope that it has Assange cornered, but despite the man’s inability to physically move anywhere, it would seem that it is he who is doing all the cornering.

He explained to an Argentinian paper how US intervention in Ukraine had led to civil war, how the West had helped ISIS, and why Israel supported Hamas. The United States has spent “A lot of time Trying to Bring Ukraine to the West,” the WikiLeaks Founder said in an Interview to Pagina / 12, Argentinian newspaper on Monday. “If it cannot be with a NATO membership, at least it becomes independent from Moscow’s sphere of influence, to reduce Russian industrial-military complex and its naval bases in Crimea.” Kiev’s first step closer to NATO was in December 2014, when President Petro Poroshenko signed a law cancelling the Ukraine ‘non-bloc status’ and promised to hold a national referendum on joining up with NATO in the next five to six years. US government still hunting WikiLeaks as Obama targets whistleblowers | Media. The US government is conducting an active, long-term criminal investigation into WikiLeaks, a federal judge has confirmed in court documents.

Five years after Julian Assange and his team began publishing the massive dump of US state secrets leaked by an army intelligence analyst, two wings of the Department of Justice and the FBI remain engaged in a criminal investigation of the open-information website that is of a “long-term duration”, “multi-subject” in nature and that “remains in the investigative state”. The disclosure was made in the course of a ruling from the US district court for the District of Columbia, the jurisdiction of which covers federal agencies, and underlines the Obama administration’s dogged pursuit of WikiLeaks and its unprecedentedly aggressive legal campaign against official whistleblowers. WikiLeaks’s lawyer, Michael Ratner, said the disclosure was significant because, coming from such a high court, it left no doubt about the US government’s intentions.

EU External Freedom of Expression Policy. (on 2014-04-15) Today WikiLeaks released the second Draft of EU Human Rights Guidelines on Freedom of Opinion and Expression Online and Offline, an instrument which sets how the EU is to treat these subjects and their priorities in the foreign policy of the European Union, for example, the EU response to censorship of TV stations in the Ukraine and certain aspects of US mass surveillance.

The Guidelines cover significant ground, including activating EU sanctions in response to "restrictions of freedom of expression". The Guidelines were supposed to be released by the end of 2013, a deadline established by the EU Strategic Framework and Action Plan on Human Rights and Democracy - but were not. The Guidelines validate data collection by indicating that "public security may justify the gathering of sensitive information". The protection for whistleblowers and emerging forms of journalism is ambiguous. Download the EU External Freedom of Expression Policy draft here. Julian Assange Says He Will Leave Ecuadorian Embassy 'Soon' After Reports Of Ill-Health. Julian Assange has said he will leave the Ecuadorian Embassy "soon", after reportedly falling ill in his two years hiding there to avoid arrest and extradition. Assange was speaking at a press conference this morning after Sky News reported he was considering surrendering to police, meaning he would be extradited to Sweden to face rape charges.

He has claimed the extradition would see him removed to the US to face prosecution over Wikileaks' publication of warlogs and diplomatic cables that shook the international establishment. Though he was eventually granted asylum in Ecuador, he has been unable to leave the embassy to take it up as Metropolitan Police officers have guarded it since Assange entered and will arrest him if makes any attempt to leave. Now, he suffers from a heart defect, a lack of vitamin D and a chronic lung condition after 26 months of confinement, it has been reported. He declined to elaborate when asked. "He's had enough.

Assange no exagera. 08TELAVIV2447_a. Wikileaks: It is time to publish all the ... USA: One year after her conviction Chelsea Manning must be released. Social media users could be charged for sharing Wikileaks story. Julian Assange, Wikileaks publisher, described the Victorian Supreme Court suppression order as 'unprecedented'. Social media users could land themselves in legal hot water if they share Wikileaks' reporting of a secret suppression order made by the Victorian Supreme Court.

The wide-ranging suppression order was published on the group's website on Wednesday and was quickly shared on websites including Twitter and Google+. Fairfax Media's report of Wikileaks' action created a strong response on social media, and was shared thousands of times within minutes of the exclusive report's publication. It is against the law for Australian media organisations to publish the contents of the suppression order. Advertisement Media lawyer Peter Bartlett, from Minter Ellison, said anyone who tweets a link to the Wikileaks report, posts it on Facebook, or shares it in any way online could also face charges.
