The Most Dangerous Chocolate Cake. Just For one. «

I am in a dilemma about the recipe I am posting today. Should I share this recipe or spare you from the depression the knowledge of this recipe would cause. In case you have resolved to get back in shape this new year, I warn you to read any further. Nothing can be done about me. I have been in on this knowledge, but there is still saving grace for you. Stop reading. Now. Seriously. I mean it. And I am only saying it for your own good. Ok. If you still want to continue, it’s at your own risk. The five minute chocolate cake has been doing the rounds for a long time now. I only became aware of it recently. And believe me, I could not be more happy with God for keeping me in the dark about this little cake. I tell you its a dangerous cake. Its going to make you cry as to how easy it is to make it again and again. No. Chocolate cake should not be easy. Its unfair. And on top of it being easy to make, its in your hands in flat 5 minutes-

Cookies ‘N Cream Oreo Fudge Brownies. Hellooooo, good lookin’!

Cookies ‘N Cream Oreo Fudge Brownies

What a way to start the week! :) Last weekend as we were exploring Blue Ridge, GA, we stopped by this charming little bakery. They had all kinds of delicious looking homemade brownies. Oreo brownies, peanut butter brownies, raspberry cream cheese brownies… *groans* Kevin totally had his eye on the Oreo brownies. We didn’t get any there (we were too busy sampling the fried Oreos) so I promised to make them as soon as we got home. I used this recipe from Picky Palate for Ice Cream Sundae Brownies. Cookies and cream ice cream, chocolate chips, and hot fudge… It all gets added to the brownie mix! This thick batter is perfect for layering.. nothing is going to sink to the bottom here! Oh, baby. Come to mama. Layering the Oreos whole is totally the way to go! All these babies need is a big, huge scoop of vanilla ice cream. Who could resist cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies? Not Me! Especially the double-stuffed Oreo cookie, it’s one of the best cookies for dunking into a cold glass of milk. I went out yesterday to do my weekly shop, came home, and before I was able to bring in the first grocery bag Matt was hunting for the cookies and cream ice cream. One of Matt’s favourite desserts of all time is cherry cheesecake and I thought to myself why not Oreo Cookies and Cream Cheesecakes, that should satisfy his craving. Plus these cheesecakes are super easy to prepare, everything comes together in one bowl and there’s no crushing chocolate wafers with a rolling pin, then melting butter, baking the crust first and then baking a second time when filled. Drop an Oreo cookie into each muffin tin, make filling, add chopped cookies, bake, and enjoy, how easy is that?

Death By Oreo Cupcakes

A lot of cake's that I have experimented with before are like a vanilla cake with bits of Oreo in them, which didn't really give them enough Oreo flavor. But these were a lot better. I used a dark chocolate fudge cake mix instead of just a regular chocolate cake mix, which went really well with the cookies and gave the cakes just a little more flavor. So, in this recipe there is Oreo's in the cake, in the frosting, and at the bottom is a Oreo surprise. That's right, you put a whole Oreo at the bottom of the cake. Ingredients 1 package Oreo Cookies, regular size 1 package Mini Oreo Cookies, for decoration (optional) 1 package chocolate cake mix (mix according to directions on box) 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature 1/2 cup butter (1 stick), room temperature 3 3/4 cups powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract cupcake liners Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream together butter and cream cheese.
