Over the past seven years, at our creative agency, Access , we have worked with a number of residential and commercial property developers from Abu Dhabi to Sydney, helping them with development and strategy. Yet we see so often the sad sight of yet another mediocre building going up. We see city councils approving mediocre design and we see cities looking uglier because of it.

March 12th, 2012 Evan Roth has been living and making new work in Detroit for the last month, gearing up for a solo exhibition that opens this Wednesday at Eastern Michigan University: Welcome to Detroit . His new series of artworks is called: Propulsion Paintings. Loving it! As part of his residency at Eastern Michigan University, he’s teaching a course called Art and Hacking where he had the students create their own Propulsion Paintings as their first project.

Remember when I blogged about a very exciting photo shoot I was doing last month and was super vague about it? Well, here it is! In February, I was commissioned by Jaclyn of Audrey Grace , a pop-up shop coming to NYC next week to do a photo shoot for her boutique. For the months leading up to the shoot, Jaclyn and I brainstormed up suitable concepts that fit the 'Audrey Grace' motif. We finally settled on the story of 'The Dollkeeper.' I am forever fascinated with exploring all facets of the life of dolls (see my other doll shoot here ).

Here's a sweet and simple place card idea for this week’s Fashioned Florals—perfect in time for an Easter brunch, don’t ya think? I’m also jazzed that this requires nothing but scissors or floral shears to put together {not to mention that I rounded up everything up from my yard} ! Free is always appreciated, especially when Spring's bounty is in high force here in Texas! 1. Supply time! This week's project literally took me only steps outside my front door to gather up some herbs and wildflowers—including lavender foliage, rosemary, primrose, blooming sage, blue bonnets, ventana, and finally, those stunning orange blossoms from my pomegranate tree.

I’ve continually held off writing this article until now because truthfully, my design process has become so routine that I don’t think of it as being significant. But, when I take the time to step back, I realize that we each have a different method for working through projects and can learn from one another.

Thank god for Ashish on the last day of LFW, a hit of sequins is exactly what your sleep deprived eyes need just then. Ashish is always a blast, what else is there to say? I want one of those multi coloured leopard sequined biker jackets pretty bad, that’s what. And a great big BE HAPPY jumper too.
