Do you think in words or pictures, or both? Visual thinking engages the part of the brain that handles visual processing, and is said to be both "emotional and creative" so you can "organise information in an intuitive and simultaneous way". A picture really might be worth a thousand words, while being easier to understand and recall.

Hi Your welcome.
Great question As far as I know there might not be a way to just instantly find all your team pearls. What I do is I use gmail and make different folders for different things. For instance there is a folder called "pearltrees" that is for any general comment. a folder "prealtrees team members", a folder pearltrees teams I've joined. a folder "pearltrees emails" for people I have the email of, which I don't think I need since they are in my contacts list anyway. I just put the emails I recieve in different folders. Happy Pearling l8trs. by timepeaces Jun 3

The best way to organize is how you will use it, whatever makes sense to you:) However, what I do is make a new pearltree for each heading and subheading. You may have little interest in the websites I have pearled, but look at my pearltree with a new lense and see how I organize my information. Then look at others and do the same. Find what will be most user friendly to you. Here is my pearltree url: http://www.pearltrees.com/#/N-reveal=2&N-u=1_134437&N-p=10140223&N-s=1_1448059&N-f=1_1448059&N-fa=1448059 by mburright Jun 3

:) yes other peps pearls are interesting sometimes I find so many I just pearl their root and put it in my tree "other peoples pearls of interest". Usually I'm so busy with finding new pearls on the net I don't have much time to look throught other peoples pearls. About 90% of my pearls are organized. Guess it's a matter of to many interest here:) anyway happy pearling. l8trs by timepeaces May 28

I think there is much more than I know:) It started for me just as a place to organize my oline resources, then I realized I could search through others and steal theirs..that is my favorite. I'm still exploring myself, but I recently found that pearltrees has a blog: http://blog.pearltrees.com/ There are many topics and questions asked and answered there. And here is a recent articles: http://thezargon.org/2011/02/pearltrees-growing-introduce-new-features/ Hope that gets you more! by mburright May 26

FlowingData | Data Visualization and Statistics

Whoa. What did I just read? I think most of you know of Freakonomics, but in case you don't, it started as a book in 2005, by economist Steven Levitt and journalist Stephen Dubner. The book examines corners of life (like cheating in sumo) through data. http://flowingdata.com/

This e-learning site focuses on a critical, but often neglected skill for business, communication, and engineering students, namely visual literacy , or the ability to evaluate, apply, or create conceptual visual representations. After this tutorial, students should be able to evaluate advantages and disadvantages of visual representations, to improve their shortcomings, to use them to create and communicate knowledge, or to devise new ways of representing insights. The didactic approach consists of rooting visualization in its application contexts, i.e. giving students the necessary critical attitude, principles, tools and feedback to develop their own high-quality visualization formats for specific problems ( problem-based learning ). The students thus learn about the commonalities of good visualization in diverse areas, but also explore the specificities of visualization in their field of specialization (through real-life case studies).
