Among blacks who own cell phones, 15% have software applications designed to track or manage their health, compared with 11% of Hispanic cell phone owners and 7% of white cell phone owners, according to a new Pew Research Center/California HealthCare Foundation survey . The survey found that 10% of male cell phone owners use mobile apps to track or manage their health, while 8% of female cell phone users do so. The survey also found that cell phone owners who live in urban areas are more likely to have a mobile health app on their phone than individuals who live in suburban or rural areas.
