Counts was one of the first black students admitted in the school, and she was no longer able to stand the harassments after 4 days. 1963. Thich Quang Dug, the Buddhist priest in Southern Vietnam, burns himself to death protesting the goverment’s torture policy against priests. Thich Quang Dug never made a sound or moved while he was burning.

Clairvius Narcisse was a Haitian man said to have been turned into a living zombie by a combination of drugs.After investigating reports of "zombis" (including Narcisse and a handful of others), researchers believed that Narcisse received a dose of chemical mixture containing tetrodotoxin ( pufferfish venom) and bufotoxin (toad venom) to induce a coma which mimicked the appearance of death. He was then allowed to return to his home where he collapsed, "died" and was buried. The Canadian ethnobotanist Wade Davis, who did the research on tetrodotoxin [ 1 ] explains how this would have been done.

Well, I’ll explain as we go along, but basically he convinced me by having all, and I do mean ALL, the answers. Every question I flung at him he batted back with a plausible and satisfactory answer. In the end, it was easier to accept that he was god than otherwise. Which is odd, because I’m still an atheist and we even agree on that! It all started on the 8.20 back from Paddington.
