Sarah Yakawonis is a young graphic designer who has been featuring an intriguing series of quilled work on her blog for several months. I love coming across unusual uses of rolled paper and Sarah's pieces certainly fill the bill. She quills in the same vein (sorry, couldn't resist yet another body part) as Greek artist, Pavlos. Very dense coils define her style. Sarah has answered questions for us about her quilling, and especially her impetus for this anatomical series. Brian Dettmer is an american artist born in 1974 and working in Atlanta. His work is an anatomy of book art: cutting all the pages to show a whole univers inside theese slices of paper. All his art is a mixt of bi-dimensional and tri-dimensional state: some books can be seen as a picture made from various levels. And sometime he use a complete collection of encyclopedie to compose a complexe sculpture.
