Ce n'est pas vraiment une exposition sur Jeff Wall que vous pouvez voir à Bozar à Bruxelles (jusqu'au 11 septembre), même si c'est l'occasion de revoir un bon nombre de ses photographies et d'en découvrir quelques autres, comme ce Penseur poignardé et mélancolique (inspiré par un projet de Dürer pour les paysans défaits) ou cet Enfant tombant d'un arbre (ci-dessous), mouvement stoppé sur le vif, paradoxe du pseudo instantané chez ce maître de la composition.

Mais le but de l'exposition est surtout de nous montrer des artistes que Jeff Wall aime, de nous renseigner sur ses goûts, non point comme d'ordinaire en replaçant Wall dans l'univers de la peinture classique de Delacroix à Manet, mais plutôt en le confrontant à la photographie et à la sculpture et l'installation. Voici donc quelques-unes des pièces marquantes.
