The brainfuck programming language is an esoteric programming language noted for its extreme minimalism. It is a Turing tarpit , designed to challenge and amuse programmers , and was not made to be suitable for practical use. [ 1 ] It was created in 1993 by Urban Müller. The name of the language is generally not capitalized except at the start of a sentence, although it is a proper noun . [ edit ] Language design Urban Müller created brainfuck in 1993 with the intention of designing a language which could be implemented with the smallest possible compiler , [ 2 ] inspired by the 1024-byte compiler for the FALSE programming language. [ 3 ] Several brainfuck compilers have been made smaller than 200 bytes.

Hashima – The Ghost Island - Weird Palace
February 3, 2011 / Travel and places / 0 comments This series of pictures shows a Hashima Island which is one of the Japanese uninhabited islands. The island was populated from 1887 to 1974 as a coal mining facility. After the mine was closed the island was abandoned. The first part of photos is from 1974 when it was still populated. And the second one shows the deserted island.

The Mismeasure of Man
The Mismeasure of Man is a book by Harvard evolutionary biologist, paleontologist, and historian of science Stephen Jay Gould , published in 1981. [ 1 ] It is both a history and critique of the statistical methods and cultural motivations underlying biological determinism , the belief that "the social and economic differences between human groups—primarily races , classes , and sexes —arise from inherited, inborn distinctions and that society , in this sense, is an accurate reflection of biology." [ 2 ] The principal theme of biological determinism—that "worth can be assigned to individuals and groups by measuring intelligence as a single quantity "—is analyzed in discussions of craniometry and psychological testing , the two methods used to measure and establish intelligence as a single quantity. According to Gould, the methods harbor "two deep fallacies."

Afflicted: 11 Abandoned American Hospitals and Asylums “Open” for Exploration
With some of the most disturbing and tragic histories of any buildings in the US, asylums and hospitals are way beyond creepy . Many of them were built in the late 1800s, when “mental illnesses” (such as masturbation, menopause, and teenage rebellion) were considered dangerous enough to lock someone in an asylum. A pain-inflicting misunderstanding of mental illness combined with a chronic mistreatment of its sufferers meant that many people were never released and spent the remainder of their lives in these horrible institutions. In addition to asylums, many sanatoriums were constructed around this time to care for the poor and very sick. Utilizing radical treatments that were incredibly painful yet ineffective, early hospitals often created more suffering than good for the inflicted. To make matters worse, infectious outbreaks forced patients to be quarantined from the rest of society, further isolating them.
Lacing Technique 1 or 2 (upright pentagrams): 1. The lace is run straight across (grey section) and the ends are fed in through the third set of eyelets from the top. Adjust the ends so that the left (blue) end is quite a bit longer than the right (yellow) end. 2. Both ends are run straight down on the inside to emerge through the bottom "corners" of the pentagram. For a centred pentagram, skip past one eyelet to emerge through the second lower eyelet down the shoe.
