The language consists of only eight simple commands and an instruction pointer. Nevertheless, it was shown to be Turing-complete. It is designed to challenge and amuse programmers, and was not made to be suitable for practical use. It was created in 1993 by Urban Müller. The language's name is a reference to the vulgar term "brain fuck", which refers to things so complicated or unusual that they exceed the limits of one's understanding. History[edit] In 1992, Urban Müller, a Swiss physics student, took over a small online archive for Amiga software.[1] The archive grew more popular, and was soon mirrored around the world. As Aminet grew, the compiler became popular among the Amiga community, and in time it was implemented for other platforms.

It's about making pictures with . As we now live in informational societies, I bet you've already encountered those ASCII-painted pics somewhere on Internet. I noticed that visitors of my site like artful text pictures. People have been putting text images composed of symbols into comments on my pages since the first FB comment box stood the source of my website years ago. I actually deleted that Facebook comment box after some time, as it took as much time to load as the whole page without it. PETA's Campaign Against KFC. Site for freedom. ICT Graphics Lab. Live 3D Teleconferencing Introduction: The Graphics Lab at the University of Southern California has designed an easily reproducible, low-cost 3D display system with a form factor that offers a number of advantages for displaying 3D objects in 3D.

The display is: autostereoscopic - requires no special viewing glassesomnidirectional - generates simultaneous views accomodating large numbers of viewersinteractive - can update content at 200Hz The system works by projecting high-speed video onto a rapidly spinning mirror. While flat electronic displays represent a majority of user experiences, it is important to realize that flat surfaces represent only a small portion of our physical world. Abstract: We describe a set of rendering techniques for an autostereoscopic light field display able to present interactive 3D graphics to multiple simultaneous viewers 360 degrees around the display.

Afflicted: 11 Abandoned American Hospitals and Asylums “Open” for Exploration. With some of the most disturbing and tragic histories of any buildings in the US, asylums and hospitals are way beyond creepy . Many of them were built in the late 1800s, when “mental illnesses” (such as masturbation, menopause, and teenage rebellion) were considered dangerous enough to lock someone in an asylum. A pain-inflicting misunderstanding of mental illness combined with a chronic mistreatment of its sufferers meant that many people were never released and spent the remainder of their lives in these horrible institutions. In addition to asylums, many sanatoriums were constructed around this time to care for the poor and very sick.

Utilizing radical treatments that were incredibly painful yet ineffective, early hospitals often created more suffering than good for the inflicted. To make matters worse, infectious outbreaks forced patients to be quarantined from the rest of society, further isolating them. If you decide the risk is worth the reward, we didn’t send ya. Pentagram Lacing. Notes: • If the crossovers of the laces are carefully woven as shown, the centre of the pentagram will have all the "overpasses" running clockwise, which helps to maintain the shape more securely. • This lacing works best with thinner or flat laces because several eyelets have to accommodate two passes of shoelace. • These diagrams are drawn with the pentagrams fairly symmetrical and centered.

Running the horizontal sections through different eyelets will change the proportions of the five points. • On shoes with a tongue centering loop, the top point can be run through that loop to eliminate the upper "rung".
