The Pallet House is an inexpensive, efficient and easily realizable solution to the problem of housing people displaced by natural disaster, plagues, famine, political and economic strife or war. Wright himself lived in a tent-like structure as he was building Taliesin West, thus the option for students to do the same. Built upon an already existing concrete pad and chimney, the dwelling earned the name, Miner’s Shelter. The interior, despite its size, reveals a fair amount of thoughtful planning. As for the exterior, Frazee did his best to mitigate negative weather conditions. The Small House Movement is Here to Stay! The Small House Movement is Here to Stay!
