This is one of those ‘I-need-a-cookie-right-now-or-I-die’ recipes that can be prepared in almost no time. We all know that kind of situation, don’t we?
This post comes to you from damply beautiful Seattle, Washington! Yes, kids, I am in Seattle for BlogHer Food 2012 and not just as an attendee, but I am speaking ! I am nervous, but terribly excited, and ready to get the party started! The last month has been a CRAZY travel month for me. First, I went to Camp Blogaway, then I spent 6 days in Tokyo (expect a few Japanese themed recipes in the future – the place is life changing!)
Now I don't want to over sell this, so I'm going to be conservative and simply say, that these are... The Best Brownies In The WORLD. I know, big statement. They're called Slutty Brownies because they're oh so easy, and more than a little bit filthy. They're best served warm from the oven, with good quality vanilla ice cream (devastatingly I didn't have any in the freezer this time, so I guess I'll just have to make them again).
Andrew Scrivani for The New York Times 1 1/2 cups whole-wheat flour 1 cup all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda
I’ve tried lots of brownie recipes: Boxes, scratch, frosted, plain, nuts, chips, fudge … Each of them has something to like, but depending on my mood I might want a change of pace. Not any more. My wife found this recipe, and it’s perfect. I’m done looking.
I made you a pie. Well, okay… I made you the filling of a pie. I bought the crust. I don’t do crusts.
I made Double Chocolate Craisin Cookies recently and soon thereafter came to a realization I was born in the wrong body. I enjoyed the sinfully delicious chocolate cookies exploding with dark chocolate morsels and dotted with cranberries dried into tart remnants of their former selves. How many different ways are there to make chocolate cookies?
This simple recipe isn't really ice cream, but you'll think it is when you're eating it. Actually you'll just think it's the best thing you've ever eaten. Pay attention to the health bits, Portion control or you'll eat the whole batch. You can substitute Almond Butter if you want to make this a healthy recipe, or if you just hate being happy.
I was at the grocery store the other day and found Peppermint Crunch Junior Mints-they were begging to jump into my cart. I bought a few boxes and decided to create a holiday cookie with them. It snowed on Saturday, which was my excuse to stay in my pj’s, turn on the Christmas tunes, and bake the day away. Josh and Caleb assisted me in my baking adventures-we got out the Peppermint Crunch Junior Mints and created a new cookie for the holiday season-Chocolate Chip Peppermint Crunch Cookies. These chocolate chip cookies have a few Peppermint Crunch Junior Mints tucked inside.
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease an 8x8" pan and set aside. Combine all ingredients, except oats, in a food processor or blender and blend until smooth, scrapping sides as needed. Stir in the oats and pour batter into the pan.
Saturday night we had a special dinner with family friends. For one weekend all 8 of us were around before starting vacations and school again; one of is even spending a year studying at Oxford(no, it’s not me; yes, I’m jealous). That called for cake. I had been wanting to make this recipe for a while and wanted to wait until just the right celebration.
↔ I have no idea who invented the raw banana ice cream, but he/she is a genius! I tried to check as many posts as possible about it and decided that the oldest one might be the inventor, or may be not, who knows and does it matter?
Recipe: single-ingredient ice cream Administrative news: The amount of spam accumulating in my filter is increasing and the amount of time I have to glance through and fish out the occasional legitimate comment is all but nil at this point. From now on, I’m deleting the hundreds of spam caught each day without a second glance.
Now, I have a chocolate chip cookie recipe that I swear by. I love it, I think it is incredible, and I haven’t changed my mind about that. However, as much as it pains me to say it, these chocolate chip cookies by Jacques Torres are absolutely, without a doubt, the best chocolate chip cookies that I have ever made or tasted in my entire life.
